  1. Thanks, Pierre. For some reason this model is taking forever to complete. Maybe I finally went over the hill and can't do these things anymore. Well, I'm not going to stop trying.
  2. Super nice model, Benny. Very clean build.

    Phantom Nascar Truck

Excellent job, Pat. Too bad Salvino's doesn't do the present-day truck series like they do the Next gen cars. I would definitely like to do one of those.
  4. Another beautiful job, Chuck. I know how hard this one must have been. The decals are not fun at all, but you did a great job again.
  5. Don't mean to hijack your thread but I just had to share this build from 51 years ago so everyone can get a good laugh over it. My wife has made me save it all these years and now I'm glad she did. Its the model I described in the thread above this one.
  6. I had this kit back in the day. A few years later I used the chassis as a donor for a Monte Carlo body and made a Bobby Allison 72 Monte Carlo. There were no aftermarket decals back then that I knew of so I painted the numbers and sponsors on the car. It really looked bad but I still have it. the wheel base was wrong too, so that made it look even worse. We sure have it a lot better today than back then.
  7. Month long trip to Europe. that must have been fantastic. I'm pretty sure I'm never going to get over there, but it would be fun to trace my roots back in Sweden. Gramps came from there back at the beginning of the 20th century. He settled in Joliet Illinois with grandma. He opened up a butcher shop and small grocery store. Axel Iver was his name. My only personal news is we finally replaced our 16 year old Chevy equinox Sport with a new car. We looked at Cadillac xt-4, Subaru Outback and Mazda cx-5. after driving and pricing them, Mazda won big over the other 2 in quality versus price. Plus, we had owned 3 Mazda's back in the ninety's, so we probably had a soft spot in our hearts for the Mazda. Its unbelievable how much has changed in 16 years in quality as far as ride , performance and just the overall feel of the vehicles. Good choice using the frame from the 60 on your build.
  8. Thanks, Pierre. I'm really looking forward to your journey with the 64. Do you plan on using a different chassis or will you be removing exhausts like I did on this one? Either way I'm sure it wiill be an awesome build. Missed you not being around here lately. All the boards seem a little unused lately.
  9. Thanks, Carl. I'd go crazy if I didn't work on one of these.
  10. Hey, Mike. Long time, Bud. What you been working on lately? Glad you dropped by. It's like nobody has been posting lately.
  11. Thanks, Gerald.
  12. Thanks, Rooster and Edgar. I found a decal for the fire extinguisher.
  13. Thanks, Jason. 2 things left to do on the interior and then on to the chassis.
  14. Seats done.
  15. Thanks, Ricky. I don't know how all that white sanding dust got all over the stuff I just posted. It won't be there when I get finished.
