  1. AND, like my wife always says to me "It beats the alternative"?
  2. Ohhhh yeah my Friend, looks great. Love the red! I like how you put that Accel Super Coil and wired it. Back in the day when I had my 1:1 '57 I stripped the black paint off the radiator tank and polished the brass... Like yours depicts. Very cool. ???
  3. Oh yeah, TexMx will really help the the bad back?
  4. Man I feel like I'm in great shape medically in comparison. Probably my biggest problem is I'm just too lazy to do exercise. I walked out to feed the horses yesterday, about 50 yards and I was flat worn out and my lower back was sore, especially after the walk back. I need some motivation.
  5. We live about 45 miles south of Nashville. Transplanted here about 18 years ago from the New Orleans area after the great Hurricane Katrina. We always loved to go on vacation in Tennessee so figured WTH, lets just move there. Our only complaint here now is the area is booming, population is exploding, traffic is crazy, getting doctors appointments take forever. But we don't live in town and on 14 acres and enjoy the area and our Horses.
  6. Yep, does look sharp....nice job Ron!!
  7. Just happened to see your Monte Jeff...super nice work, I like it!!
  8. Like Robert, I like the big drag cars. Very nice work Maurice!
  9. Oh my gosh TJ, you're just a baby?
  10. Oh yeah Bob, gotta recoup every once in a while. I wish I still had your energy. Maybe it's just the 8 more years I have on you? What engine you have in the '66?
  11. Good luck to ya, I do like the' 67 Coronet RT. Back in the day I actually had 2 friends that owned 4-speed Hemis. Man they had brute power. 2 funny stories.. one of them had his girlfriend in the passenger seat, he speed shifted and she wound up laying down the the bucket seat looking up at the roof. The seat frame mount broke. The other one I was sitting in the bucket seat, he speed shifted and the d@mn glove box lid flew open hitting me in the knees. Man it hurt ?
  12. Wow Pete, the sure is a lot of extra weight. I here ya on the downsizing the stash, same here but I don't know if I could part with them. Will never get them all done for sure. Hang in there. ?
  13. You guys have overcome a lot of obstacles. Glad to know y'all keep plugging away at life. My issues pale in comparison. Only surgery I have had is my 2 colonostomy surgeries that kinda took the energy out of me. Arthritis in hands and carpal tunnel in one and degeneration in both shoulder joints are my biggest issues but it's tolerable. Well, back to the plastic '55 Chevy WIP.
  14. And lets not forget, the spokes are black on some.
  15. Thanks for "chiming in" John. Like I said earlier in a reply, I never felt my age (well almost never) until the surgeries a little over a year ago. When ever I tell my wife how I feel old, she says "beats the alternative"!!
  16. You are correct huh!! Can sure think it tho?
  17. Oh my Steven, you're just a kid?. Well I sure hope you do continue on, your builds are an inspiration!!
  18. Well David I had no idea you were, well, that young?, Great statement "young man trapped in an old body". I guess that sums up how I felt up to a little over a year ago when I had colostomy surgery (and 7 months later a reversal to get rid of the freakin' bag thank goodness!!)
  19. Goodness Rick, you are a gluten for punishment with those surgeries. I'll bet the recovering was tough. I really like your comment about being the same age as old people. Wife and I both go to doctors appointments and look around at the old folks around us and swear we don't look even close to what they look like....they do look old?
  20. That's nice work there Karl. What technique do you use the make the bends? Is the rod on Ebay more flexible than the Evergreen rod?
  21. I do appreciate all the great replies. Like you said "Meat Man", nothing fits and I have several configurations. As for making them, I have tried aluminum wire and solder with some degree of success but they didn't turn out all that great. I know there are a few kits with what I call dump headers and It's what I need for a true gasser build. I'm sure not gonna buy a whole kit just to get the headers. Anyway, thanks again guys.
  22. Wow, I really feel old now...you guys are youngsters compared to me. I'm guessing at this point I'm the oldest old f@rt on here. And Mike, congratulations on being a survivor?
  23. Oh yeah Danno, it sure does happen. Light to moderate physical things I did just 2 or 3 years ago are pretty much out of the question now?
  24. Well thanks!
  25. A whole lot of really nice looking vehicles there Ron....thanks for posting the pics.
