  1. hey cool, build on the fly. no plans, just ideas. just the way i like it. you have a really good start there. but, you know, you could still go mid-engine. use a front wheel drive (longitudinal) v8. like a cadillac northstar. then run the overly long injector stacks thru the roof and the exhaust out the back (drag boat style). just a thought. however you build it, just keep us posted.
  2. i just use it straight out of the bottle. i brush it on with a small foam brush. because it is self levelling, it leaves a nice smooth shine.
  3. retired military and part-time goalie for a javalin team.
  4. I LIKE THIS ONE DUDE! love that ardun motor. excellent color choice. nice work, keep us posted.
  5. your entire collection is just outstanding. nice work. just one question, did you build scale airport hangers, like jay leno's, to store all those babies?
  6. sweet ride. i still love monochromatic.
  7. sorry, roadkill2525. i read your post after reading madmodeler's. did not mean to steal your name.
  8. excellent work. a very pretty merc. how about "envy".
  9. FAR OUT, MAN. (an older build deserves an older accolade.) you can really tell your are a talented body man. your ideas and execution are first class. i would love to bring my old 60 f100 out to california and let you have a go. one thing though, having built (street rodded) two 3100s, a '54 and a '55 (series 1), i would guess that you would have to be a very thin individual to sit behind the wheel. keep showin us those older builds.
  10. what is missing is ol' Grump sitting inside, chomping on a cigar, rowing a 4-speed. great idea and cool build. i am with robert, need a nice detailed build.
  11. real or model? i am going to have to go with real. absolutely beautiful. your talent is phenomenal. thanks for sharing with us mere mortals.
  12. a knockout buick! i really like the early 50s corvette windshield and interior. excellent execution.
  13. hey gregg, i see your hair is thinning.
  14. first, welcome to this site. second, das ist DER HAMMER. echt cooles superbird. your work and attention to detail is outstanding. while in germany, i met several outstanding builders from all over europe. i wish more would join in. thanks for sharing.
  15. very nice build
  16. ah yes, back in '69, I was 10 living in new orleans and my dad knew the new car manager, wally, at peritty (?) pontiac. wally called my dad up and said he needed to come look at something special. my dad took me and my brother down to see a brand new trans am roll off the trailer. brilliant white, two blue stripes over two hood scoops and down the trunk to the blue taillight panel, ram air III motor and 4 speed. wally says get in. oh the sound when it fired up. it rumbled and shook like it was angry at someone or thing. I fell in love with v8s right then. wally rolls it out in the street and nails it. yee-haw. my brother and I never had so much fun in the back seat as we did sliding around that black naugahyde seat. wally was having fun too. we rode around for a while but eventually the fun had to end. wally rolled it up on the concrete display ramp and nailed the throttle one more time. wonderful noise. one of those memories that will never fade. thanks for the flashback.
  17. it has got the look. how about a superbird wing? uprights body color and wing in CF. just a thought.
  18. now that is one cool race car..... love the whole idea. what was the inspiration?
  19. ok, my first one and i say real. reason; super detail. chromed allen head bolts holding the backing plate on. lug nuts and studs. holes in the header flange. this would be an awesome scale '32 ford but, wait. the firewall is homemade (flushed to the body). probably did not have a firewall or wanted more footroom. the radiator support rod brackets are missing and the rods are simply welded to the firewall and then the welds primered over. common solution. my reasoning is that if this was a super detailed model, the rods would have had more thought put into them. nice ride.
  20. looks cool.... the wheels look right on it but it does give it a tuner/jtcc look. i like it.
  21. first, nice build, excellent subject. would look awesome with a pro stock ferrari 612 on back. keep it up. i just got back in country, 2 months ago, from germany. first, there were all kinds of roll back haulers over there. boom tow trucks are not allowed. several of the extended cab versions, just depended on what you ordered. my squadron had two, an old mercedes and a newer iveco (fiat). both had extended cabs. currently, the tow truck of choice is the iveco, they are everywhere. by the way, drag racing is very popular in germany and europe, in general. several sanctioning bodies. the old bitburg air base now hosts a complete season of drag racing on the old taxiway. pretty cool. check out this site; http://1on1-motorsports.de. is that fiat cool or what?
  22. nice little austin. looks really cool. awesome decals. just one problem, there is no phone number so i can call and get a ride. he-he. i remember building that austin and it's brethren, thames panel and henry j, when i was a teenager. lousy body fitment, spindley front axle and all that chrome to scrap off (wheels had to roll). cool car!
  23. that is one awesome c6r. man, you did a great job. love those colors.
