Bobby Allison 1982 Gatorade Buick (Salvinos JR kit)
Psychobilly replied to Goodwrench3's topic in NASCAR
One of my favorites from that era! Great job! -
I was an arbitrator at one of the largest wholesale auto auctions in the midwest. I cant even count the number of newer Hyundai's we sent to franchise dealerships to verify issues. 9/10 times their answer was ALWAYS "the car is operating as it should".... Oh, it's supposed to sound like a sewing machine and move like a slug? Copy that.... I hope your friend has luck with customer service but I'm skeptical. I have zero respect for that brand.

Hi Kyle, greetings from SE WI!

Hello Enrico! Nice rig, and that work space is enviable.

Appreciate the welcome!

Oh no! I just scrolled down far enough to see the cracked clear. The exact same thing happened to me on a Bronco build. I soaked it in Purple Power and repainted just to have my BMF turn into a headache. Definitely sounds like it wasn't cured quite yet or too humid.

Maybe Micro Sol and a black wash?

Search 100 micron stainless mesh on Amazon, I found it by the sheet.

AMT 81 Toyota Truck 4X4
Psychobilly replied to Adecoste's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
The kit is a 1980. The decals are an interpretation of stock, but I've not seen these in 1:1 either. I've owned 2x 83's in my lifetime, a red one and a black one. I too wish we could get a full kit with a 22R to build. I posted my build of this kit in red (a close replica of my red 83). I want another to build my black one. This is looking good! Can't wait to see the finished product. -
Hello all. I've been a sporadic builder since I was 10. I've been stockpiling kits for a few years now waiting for the stars and planets to align so I could build again. With the Covid madness and the deer hitting me on my Harley/breaking my leg it looks like the heavens have aligned and I'm back at the bench. My interests are primarily trucks, hot rods, and muscle cars. Like most folks I've got a few stalled builds in their boxes and a ton of new kits waiting for love. Based out of SE WI. If there are any clubs still active in the area I'd love to get involved

Here's a loose replica of an '83 Toyota 4x4 I owned when I was 20. Lost this one to a bad choice one night and a rollover on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. This is the AMT snap kit. I purchased the wheels/tires years ago off Ebay. Since this is a static/curbside kit I didn't spend a lot of time engineering a suspension lift. I cut pieces of spruce off the tree long enough to fit the tires. The pins were cut flush off the axles and the wheels were super glued directly on. Paint is Rustoleum 2x Cherry Red over black primer. Thanks for looking.

A museum in Floyd would be awesome! I hope she can make it happen.

Gorgeous! I gotta take the family to the museum next time we visit "home".

Beautiful build Curt! I recently found out Curtis was my paternal grandfathers cousin. I got excited and bought several decal sets to build. Did you use the SS kit or the stocker? Or a combination of the two?
