  1. This is the tutorial: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=8348 Let me know if it was usefull, or if things weren't clear enough
  2. There has been no superdetail aftermarket parts. But some parts can be used, like wire-wheels made for Pocher kits. I 've seen a set, set you back 1200 dollar. LHD to RHD is utterly simple. basically the hardest part is making the dashboard RHD, but not really hard. AND; don't forget to fill up the seem-lines! I made a small tutorial for this
  3. Jaffa; yes it sometimes does hahaha Ajulia; Thanks mate! I am not sure yet where the paintjob is going to go. But I want to do it radical, just as radical as the car. And a two-tone is highly likely. Well, not a big update, haven't been home a lot last couple of days.
  4. My plan is basically: I got no plan ;-) I just start with some ideas and put them together along as I go, no idea where it will end too. The chop was a bit too much for my taste, so I reduced it again
  5. I know, I know....Another one from that annoying Dutch Dude..... But I can't spray-paint yet, (too cold and humid for a nice PJ(sigh, no, no BJ)). So I started on a car I had in mind for quite some time. I will put a heck lot of scratchbuilding and modifying in this car, and it will be a slow, slow progress car. Questions? Remarks? Criticism? Please do tell.
  6. I just like the engine detail ;-)
  7. This is my 1:12 '57, just love the candy-red
  8. Small update...Nothing but Engine. Going steady, replaced the OOB wiring with my own, looks a lot better :-P
  9. Thanks, I'll try there. Just found thi"s:
  10. I pretty much agree with ya, ;-) so I keep the reply short. It could be the Edsel of buses in the USA, but for Europe, it is a very modern bus. So I don't think it isn't going to be a bestseller in the States, but I think the numbers will be nice for Revell AG in Europe. Since the bus is developed for Europe.
  11. Guy's, don't forget you're americans. This bus is a European model, brought by a European modelkitmaker. It will have considerably more interest in continental Europe as it does to North-America. I don't even think ROG will export this product to the USA, but will be imported in small numbers by LHS's. Personally; I might buy one, because European race-teams use such busses, so for me a realistic interest. And don't forget. This release is a very bright thing in those 'doomsday' thinking times of the model-industry. Revell probably did enough marketing research to see if there is a good market for this. Otherwise, they wouldn't have released it.
  12. The guys in the back tell that the proportions are wrong, and the model is not on the floor.
  13. Thanks guys Yes, I found that this car was for sale long times ago, with the right Chassis number. From that website I took all the pictures, which gave me a good reference. The kit itself was just a street-F40 with a few new parts and some decals. Far from accurate.
  14. I miss Portland.... Too bad I can't be at those shows. Would've been fun.
  15. Thanks! that would be very helpful, over here in Europe there is not a lot of reference. And the car did still used a carberettor?
  16. Thanks, but I am not going this way. I am not feeling confident enough to get a nice result. So I am going to apply a metallic gold, which will be different enough to see it is done on purpose. It is the best I can do. On a other note, I have a hard time to find pictures of a '98 or '99 Chevy Nascar Engine, where could I find good referencepictures, for wiring and plumbing.?
  17. And these are the last of this one too, the car needs some painting-work to do.
  18. Thanks, and I got no idea yet what the colour will be And the final pictures for now, I've put the model aside, waiting for some warmer weather.
  19. Ok,let me kick in this new forum off with a new topic. I am going to use the Revell/Monogram 50th anniversary kit. Since this kit has the exterior already done, it doesn't need a lot of painting. So I thought............... First thing I did was painting the chassis and the roll-cage in a gold-colour. Not near the plated colour, but I didn't want to go with stock-gray either. Photo's will be added soon.
