  1. Long time, no work. Finally got some time to work on it a little bit, and in the past couple of days the lowering got my attention. In scale it got lowered a nice 5 inch down. Not a easy job, but certainly not undoable. I am going to fit air-ride in the back, need some wiring there too.
  2. a little update with a little better pictures. Nick: those are the plymouth wheels as mentioned somewhere above Slant: Bought in The Netherlands and this kit is from Revell Germany. Not very rare, altough prices are usually around 30-40 dollars used.
  3. And a little update, body has been covered in white paint
  4. Thanks guys Nick; let me see....does it has something to do with the F40 in your nick ;-) haha
  5. Just finished this one today. Basically OOB, but safety harness has been added, same as rollcage, interiour detail and under the hood detail.
  6. As mention above, the Transporter will get steelie's. At the moment the choice is for Duster wheels, they seem to be nice for under the Transporter. The front wheels are Zeit's, by Fujimi.
  7. well, let's keep this on....slow progress is also a way of progress ;-)
  8. Thanks :!: ~The last pictures, the model has been finished and will appear on my desk.
  9. Almost done, but a update for now.
  10. well, the engine used in the kit is the 3.8, but the series 1.5 looks the same, it has several important changes under the hood, concerning the engine and it's components.
  11. Thanks guys, Curt; I did the same thing, my hood is going to be as smooth as a baby buttocks. The engine is going inside the car, fully detailled. It might never be seen again, but I know it is there Not a lot done, at least it looks that way. Much of the time is spend on sanding, putty, sanding, putty etc. At this point I think the roof is done and primered. For my first time of serious customizing, I think the job looks ok. It could've been better, but for now I don't have the skills yet.
  12. Getting the candy-red paintjob is actually quite simple. I used spraycans for automotive. First the normal primer, than I used aluminium mettalic as base-coat. Than I used a can from MoTip/Duplicolour which is used to paint rear-light clusters red ( or black ). I used 20 coats of red to achieve this result, the best thing is that you don't have to clear-coat it, since it is a clearcoat with a bit of colour in it.
  13. Yes, I think those are the ones he found and used for the Joyride. @the other guys; I don't think Gear will be as good as Top Gear. And believe me, I have seen a lot of European shows/movies go to the USA where they lost their touch. Guys, don't get me wrong here, but Top Gear is about British humor, and when you add any other humor, it loses it touch. If you do want to see Top Gear, all the episodes are downloadable through www.finalgear.com , because the BBC broadcast is publicely, it is legal to download! When I was in the states, I always downloaded the newest episodes. They put it usually on, within the hour of the end of the show. And I got the download on my computer before 10pm with a lousy connection.
  14. Nice to see something European coming by over here haha. Do I spot Kranze's? adn in the 3rd picture, the car looks a bit like a 7-series, well done so far! Altough the windowrubbers shine just a bit too much
  15. I started on that cover before I noticed the crisp detail of the engine But too bad, it is all part of the idea in my head, we'll see how it results haha and yeah, chop looks lot better.
  16. What is the displacement of the engine of your E-type?
  17. John; No, unfortunatelly not. Due to time-restrictions I couldn't do the effort. But I will do it on my next Jag. Harry; Could you send me one too? It would be so good to have it for my next Jag. (which will be a lightweight modified)
  18. yup, they used the clean and weathered van in the series. Had something to do with company-transportation around the island. Jaffa; they are viewable through the ABC website for free, or downloadable on a torrent site.
