3 Christine, BIG!!! Update February 8th
The Creative Explorer replied to The Creative Explorer's topic in WIP: Model Cars
I got my 3 Christine's from a friendly user on this board, he made it happen to purchase 3 Plymouth's for a reasonable price and shipping, so I thank him If you don't mind; could you send me the digitalized plate? I would appreciate it. I haven't found your topic yet, but will do after I finish up this post. -

Ofcourse not, but just take it easy, help will come here, but like you said, we don't have all day to play on the net. Just be patient, Something you must be if you practice this hobby anyway -

Mazda ( I am ready for going to bed, so not really wanted to do searching, we'll see if somebody could've find it ) -
No, not really. Sure, they are not the best cars by far, but TopGear has the most hate with the old British Leyland cars, such as Austin. They were so incredibly bad, that doors came of at testdrives (not joking)

Austin A35 Saloon AS5, A2S5 Between '56 and '59 -
Yeah, It's just policy, and honestly I like it. It makes the board more personal that way. I found this quote; Don't get me wrong, I am not parenting, but I just like to call people by their name I am using a Anagram as a nick-name, but I use my real name in my siggy

Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona 'Early Version'
The Creative Explorer replied to The Creative Explorer's topic in WIP: Model Cars
I agree Raul, these kits are just the best. I believe. I love them more than my Tamiya's and such just the amount of detail.....yum! Nick, I just hope that my paint will not craze But I guess we will see..... -
Sorry Nick, yeah it was Dutch Well, the point of this car was to see if I am going coocoo, and guess what; I am! Since the paint is perfect on the Skoda, and I don't know why my GTO got so messed up DIY; hmm, it isn't a Fiat Panda, this car was actually a design done by Bertone, for Skoda's history quite modern. And that's why it doesn't look all that bad. Please use your real name in the sign, it makes communication more personal on the board and I believe mandatory by the board. Zoom-Zoom; I guess you are right, the car is too big to be 1/28. It looks a massive SUV if I held it near other 1/25/24 projects. But the overall dimensions seem to work though.

3 Christine, BIG!!! Update February 8th
The Creative Explorer replied to The Creative Explorer's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Yeah, not that difficult. This topic is not the best example if you want to learn, since I will have to do stuff that is not along the usual ways If I have big parts, I mount them on a toothpick and spray them. If they are smaller, but can be handled without touching/holding by fingers, they are painted without assembling. The smaller parts are assembled and then painted. I don't know if this is the wide accepted way of doing it, but it works for me -
3 Christine, BIG!!! Update February 8th
The Creative Explorer replied to The Creative Explorer's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Good question, and I'll give a simple answer. If you look closely through the pictures, you will see that there are two ways demonstrated. The engine completely assembled without painting is used for the beat-up Christine, this is because no one will ever get to see the engine. So no detailing. But there are also pictures featuring two engines, those are made in the proper and easiest way. The mainparts assembled which have to go in the same color, that will be airbrushed. All other detailling parts will be assembled and painted later. So, it is easier to paint that way. -
Real or Model #62 FINISHED!
The Creative Explorer replied to Harry P.'s topic in Real or Model? / Auto ID Quiz
Real, mainly because of the headliner -
A very, very enthusiastic project! What is the idea? Well, I want to create 3 '57 Plymouth Fury's. 2 for my girlfriend ( her name is, (you've guessed it) Christine ) and 1 for me. 2 of the Christine's are going to be show and shiny, 1 of the Christine's is going to be like the first appearance in the movie, ( yes, you guessed it again) Christine. I need the three Christine's done before March/April 2009, why? Well, I am trying to see my GF in that period and want to give the cars as her birthday gift. In a diorama. And I don't want to ship them. The idea is also get them there and she will enter them for me at the Portland NW Car Collector model car contest in late 2009. Just to see if I can be any good again ( In 2007 I got there 2 firsts, 1 second and a 4th place ) So let some pictures do the talking; As you can see from the pictures, the one Christine has to get her doors and trunk open and the hood shut, this will complicate the whole matter even more. But it gives me the oppertunity to forget about detailing that engine. So a little less work for a whole lot more work.

Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona 'Early Version'
The Creative Explorer replied to The Creative Explorer's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Thanks Guys! The job situation is not improved, even worse; I am down to the last reserves and it could take up to two-three more weeks before my unemployement-insurance will kick in. And I expect quite some bills But what else can you do? I am trying hard to find me a job and get going once again. I want/need money to visit my sweetheart in Portland in March/April. So I do have some kind of motivation Bill; it isn't really the molds, there is just a lot of detail and since the plastic is thin, after cooling down the molds there is just a little too less plastic. So, seen the details, I will forgive them Cal; I basically have every kind of Fujimi Enthusiast kit, I basically refuse to get the newer ones, I am in love with those old boxes and very nice boxart. A little update; At the beginning of last week, I started to sand down the paintjob once again. Just because of the greasyness problem. This time, everything had to be right, as my 16oz rattle can was down to its last fumes. Fortunately I had just enough to cover to thin layers and cover the body equally. Yesterday I started to polish the body until grid 12000 and will clear coat it somewhere this week. I believe that when you polish the color-coat too, the shine of the model will be deeper. I just hope that I don't get a reaction like I did with the GTO More pictures of the interior will follow soon, as it is in its final stadium. -
Nick; So weird, I have more problems with this site and pictures lately. However the pictures work on basically every PHPBB2 forum, they seem not to work on this forum Well, It isn't the Ferrari, but the problem with the GTO that holds me back a little. However, I will continue with the Ferrari as of this week, so we'll see how things work out. DIY?: Geen idee, maar acht ik zeer klein Toch heb ik wel 1:43 resin E-Kadettjes gezien van een Duitse firma. Well, Some more pictures; Hope they work!

1969 Pontiac GTO Stock-Car C-spec
The Creative Explorer replied to The Creative Explorer's topic in Model Cars
The only BIG difference was that there was only a day for the Skoda to be painted in varnish, and months for the GTO. Look at this picture, how good it looks, while it is still the same paints! But thanks, I like the idea too, just not like the paintjob
