Clean build I like it

Part 8 the completion! Another box checked, another one for the books, first completion of 2021! mistakes were made, some corners were cut, but it’s a learning experience every time. And lastly with the brethren! and the next project hopped or unchopped? Thanks for watching along. Time for some channel surfing

Thank you they are such a versatile build!

I dig flatheads too, I’ll be following this build as inspiration for my unbuilt kit, have a backlog of 32’s to finish first. but I like your starting point with the frame
-
Part 6 The finish line is in sight... not overly happy with the clear on the body, but it’s ok enough for the perfectly shitty look I like anyways. I have a little clean up to do on some small areas.

No I wish! Those are source materiel pilfered from the interwebs. the monte will be another rebuilder project. It’s already underway actually

Yes the Latham supercharger is from the Amt 25t kit, the Lincoln engine is completely bogus so that’s only being used as parts. ive done a fair bit of research into the supercharger and I think v2 will be a much more fitting work up. and yes it will be going in a 32! ive managed to accumulate 2 rebuilders and a complete unopened Revell 32 5 window kits, as well as some Vicky bodies. and finally a y block to work with. I’ll have months of building ahead of me

Misha I’m floored The level of detail in the engine of the Ford makes up for the 2.75 completions. astounding work!

Part 5 Setting the body to the frame, setting the stage for completion. finished up the rolling stock with some flat steel to the backing plates, new hubcaps are installed ( need to add a pic ) setting the body for the interior I noticed that the interior panels were fouling a bit so I took them out to thin them (saw that here on the forums, can’t remember who posted but I’d like to thank him for the idea?) Next update should have som pics of the completed interior and close ups of the caps . thanks for watching and providing this ole fella an outlet to display My work.

The Latham supercharged flathead, is undergoing a reworking as I didn’t like the inaccuracies of the intake manifold I had constructed.

Part 4 suspension was next on the table, started by dechroming all the suspension components, these were sourced from a donor 32 5 window kit, as the body for that one is going the be on a gasser frame. different shades of steel, silver, and brush on chrome frame testors were used for detailing the suspension. and of course the frame is now the ubiquitous black.

Part 3 I wasn’t feeling the green paint on the roadster, so I popped it into a purple power bath. this was an opportunity to try something I hadn’t in my early days of modelling, Engine wiring! Not perfect, but as a first attempt I’m pleased with the results. and you can see the body colour change is now to burgundy. Spent some time making my own bomber seats, seats came from the amt 25t kit.

Part 2 I put this aside to work on another project, found some wheels and tires that I wanted to work with, and after trading another selection of kits I wouldn’t build for a little early Christmas gift to me. Selected the 421 Pontiac as the source of power. Now it was all starting to fall into place.

So I managed to locate a couple of built up kits from a friend, he purchases rebuilders in lots, and he’s a muscle car guy so these don’t fit into his building repatoire. I had a couple of glue bomb monogram cudas and a deal was struck. I attempted to disassemble it as best as possible, but whoever put this one together must have stock in Testors. I mocked it up a couple of times, and could not decide on a drivetrain or colour.

Happy to be part of the completed for this year? -
Small updates, lake headers and some body work, had a nasty paint blister on the door, and I sanded a bit too much, now filler and careful sanding to get the surface right again and chose an ivory as the base colour for the seats
