  1. Nice. I like the old Gassers.
  2. Ok fellows, I pulled the 34 body out of the tub with Easy Off oven cleaner this morning. After about a week with using a tooth brush on the body every day and spraying more on it's just not going to get any more of the paint off. I then went after it with a brass brush and sand paper. After 4 hrs I cleaned it up and shot some Tamiya Gray surface primer to assessed the damage. Not to bad but the doors will need a skim coat and re-sanding and priming.
  3. I've got the suspension tack glued, box is tack glued together as well, and the wheel wells have been hogged out to except the wider wheels & tires. The rear wheels look a little tight but I have no more room so I may have to mini tub it. I've already started working on some pill bottles to use as tubs in the box just in case.
  4. I've watched a lot of videos as well but what I have not seen is how to Hydro dip one solid color like the pics I showed.
  5. Nice looking Roadster. That Bermuda Coral body color looks super sharp with the black and white interior. The photo-etched grille looks really nice setting inside the grille shell. Just an overall nice looking little Hot Rod. Fantastic build.
  6. Now that's a snazzy looking little Hot Rod. That Buick Nailhead looks right at home in the business end. Lot of nice details and I'm diggin the gear shift knob. Nice build.
  7. I hear ya. I wasn't having a paint issue until this build. Not sure what happened.
  8. Not much going on fellows. In a holding pattern waiting for the Easy Off Oven cleaner to do it's job. I think another round or two and it'll be done.
  9. I know this is an old thread but while at a model car show recently I saw some models that the paint looked Awesome on. I was told they were Hydro Dipped but they were one solid color. Anyone having any info or a link on this process?
  10. Pretty tuff looking drag car Michael. Nicely done.
  11. Pretty wicked looking ride. Nice detail work.
  12. Nice makeover. I really like the 63 Ford Falcons. Great movie as well.
  13. Pretty sweet looking ride. That red and the chrome really pop.
  14. Thanks Doyle. This is going to be a pretty kewl build for me. Thanks Carl. I appreciate the info.
  15. I hear ya about the airbrush. I kind of like it as I can control the paint much better.
  16. I hear ya David. The paint is just about stripped and ready for round 3.
  17. I hear ya man. The interior tub will fit fine with the rear cab extenion installed. Just have to glue the firewall in after the interior tub is installed.
  18. I appreciate it Steve. Yeah, the colors look pretty close.
  19. While at the model car show today I found a pack of the eyelids for my build.
