Thanks man and I hear ya. It's always a work in progress for me when it comes to painting.

I appreciate the info Bob. Same painting process so I don't know whats going on. Maybe it's the weather change.

Nice project James. I've built one of these kits and just aquired another one.
-
Well....I'm sure there may be Bob, I just can't take that grainy look.

Your 53 Vette is looking pretty nice there Greg.

Yup, that's a Looker. Love the colors. Nicely done.

Well...this is starting to bother me now. What a mess. This was the second time to paint the 34 and I'm just not having any luck. This time I used Tamiya X-14 Sky Blue, 50/50 mix thinned with Mr. Color Leveling thinner, 20-25 psi, about 4" away while painting. This will be my last time then I give up. I'm going to use the same paint but at a 2:1 mix and thin it with my over the counter lacquer thinner. I'll leave the air pressure at 20-25 psi and hope for the best and expect the worst.

Thanks Kyle. I'll have to leave the rear fenders off when painting so I can foil the trim but the front trim will be tricky. -

I got one side finished on the rear fenders and I think it came out pretty good. I'll complete the other side but wait on the front fenders as I'm still doing body work on the cab. -
I really like the Testors enamel paint though my airbrush but the Revell enamel just didn't work out for me. I do use Tamiya TS spray cans on the smaller parts but not on the body.

Thanks man. Just a minor setback.

Just got back from the hobby shop. I picked up a pack of bmf and a pack of the 1.5mm Half Round Evergreen stock and the size looks pretty good. -

Thanks man. At least I have a good plan in mind. We'll see if I can pull it off. -
Started the wet sanding this morning and the Revell enamel paint was coming off down to the primer using 2000 grit with very little pressure. It shouldn't be doing this so I'm sanding the body and going with another paint. Oh well....I'm use to this so it's not really bothering me at this point.

I worked on the twisted chassis this morning and I think I have it looking pretty good. I put one end in my vise and over twisted it the opposite direction of the twist and applied some heat for about 30 sec. It took about 3 time of twisting and applying heat before I got it where I wanted it. Now, if it will stay there. Only time will tell. -
I'm getting ready to use the Splash Paints 2K clear for the first time on my 34 Ford Coupe over the Revell enamel. Any problem with the 2K clear over enamel?

Great looking 41 Plymouth. The color looks nice and deep and the wheels and tires look killer with that stance.

I appreciate it James. nearing the end on this build.

Thanks Kyle. Yeah, I think the more black I put on it the better it looks.
