Great looking 67 Shelby GT. Color looks great and it has a nice stance. Nice bulld. -
I can only echo what others have said. Just a great looking build.
-
Really nice looking 51 Alfa Romeo. That dark blue body color goes well with the gray interior. The wheels & tires worked out nicely. Great job.

The color looks good on your 66 GTO and the white interior goes well with it ?

The ZZ Top Eliminator is looking pretty good. Love that box art.

I appreciate the info Scott. It was Tamiya acrylic paint and it had dried for 3 days. the weather has been a lot cooler lately so maybe it hadn't totally cured like you said. -

Thanks man. -
Thanks for the heads up Roger. I'll have to check it out and see what my options might be.

Boy, that's a good looking 48 Ford. Great looking interior and I use the Tamiya Buff a lot for interiors. Nice looking engine bay. Gotta love those flattys.

Good color choice on the 57 Chevy. It has a nice stance. I have one in my stash. Nice build.

Good looking Hudson Coupe. That is a lot of foil but looks really nice. Nice wheels & tires and the look good against the body color. Nice build.

The blue is Tamiya X-14 Sky Blue. I have not tried Frog Tape. I'll probably just pick up a roll of tape at HL or some Tamiya tape next time I'm at the hobby shop. -
I remember your 49 now. Really nice. I like the color you went with. Yeah, my deck lid fits a little funny so it will take some work. Wasn't aware that the deck lit would open and close.

Thanks for the info Dave. Good to know there are no major issues with this kit. I may be lowering mine as well. I like the color on your 49.
-
Thanks Carl. I'll give it my best shot.

Yeah, it's an oldie but goodie

Yup....that's the one. One nice looking 49 Merc.

This is the AMT kit that I bought about a month ago at a Model Car Show for $15. I've pulled all the parts from the box that will be painted the body color which will be Tamiya X-10 Gun Metal and cleared with Tamiya X-22 Clear. I found a pic online that just looked really nice in green so I'm going to fashion mine after this one but in the Gun Metal. The kit has some pretty nasty mold lines that need to be cleaned up but all in all, not a bad looking kit so far. If you have built this kit, leave me a comment on your take on this kit. If you built the green one I've shown my hats off to you for an excellent build.

Ok....I took the cab out of the purple pond this morning and got it all cleaned up. The Tamiya gray lacquer primer was not harmed and looked good. Made a trip to the local Hobby Shop for some more paint. I re-shot the blue paint on the cab and this time I'm not going to do any taping of for the white top. It will all stay blue. -
I still make my own Stephen.

Well....I taped off the top of the cab and painted the the white this morning. When I pulled the tape off it left a residue on the blue paint. I tried to clean it and wet sand it and nothing worked so it's in the purple pond. I'm using a new tape since I ran out of the tape I use to use. This time around I used the Scotch Blue painters tape.
