  1. Very cool! I wanna do one up as the Robertson Racing car.
  2. There is a fine line between "Retro" and "Rat". Retro IMHO is to make it look like something of days gone by, where as Rat harkens back to the 60's and 70's Rat Bikes were folk made them look grungy and gaudy as all get out and now add a little (very little imho) traditional rod flavor and you have a rat rod. BTW Al I like your avatar where you there?
  3. Probably the best 429 motor for a swap would be the one from Revell's 70 Torino.
  4. I sure wish they would bring them back or maybe Testors could lease some of the molds as they still pop out some 1/43 kits! The Jag has some very nice wire wheels!
  5. Does anyone know exactly how many 1/43 kits AMT made and have list? Here is my knowledge: '36 Ford '48 Ford '57 Chevy E type Jag '69 Mustang '69 Camaro SS '69 Chevelle SS '68 Pontiac Firebird 400 Corvette '69 AMC AMX '68 Mustang '69 T-bird GT 40 '69 Mercury Cougar Cougar custom '69 Barracuda fastback custom GTO custom Vette Showrod (loosely based on the Worlds fair Corvette 1964) VW Beetle Plus the semi's and Peterbilt Wrecker.
  6. Very cool!! My dad served aboard her from late 1958 to 1960 when she had been redesignated as LPH-5.
  7. They were part of the "Class of 69'" I believe as it was the Stang, Camaro, Chevelle, Torino and I believe the AMX. I have a few GT40, 36 & 48 Fords but would like to see the Jag, 68 Stang, 68 T-Bird.
  8. Very Cool!! looks like an 74-5 RSR!!
  9. How about their 1/43 scale line as it was quite extensive.
  10. The kit arrived this past Fri. but the best part was a few days prior I recieved a message from paypal stating that the person I won the auction from had refunded some money to my acct. as the shipping wasn't as high as he expected! Very cool!!
  11. I won a Monogram 1/43 Cobra on Ebay for $5.50 plus reasonable shipping! Can't get enough of these kits!!
  12. Did you try to tell her it was for her craft stuff?
  13. Its a shame that they didn't just make a trans kit for the AMT/Polar Lights kit!
  14. Thanks guys, The info was very helpful!
  15. I see they have a Ford GTR in the Maytech livery has anyone here built or seen any of their kits as they look nice just very pricey?
  16. If you have a Monogram 427 Cobra floating around that would be awesome too! Call it a 428 or 390 as they were options also and are virtually identical on the outside!!
  17. Hey gang, I recently sent an email to Testors regarding their( Gunze) old Pantera kits. Here is the email I sent and the one I got back. While not a no, but at least there is a thought planted and they responded! Dear Mr. Ridout, I don't have an answer as to what the chances are but I am going to forward this suggestion over to our Marketing Department for consideration. Thank you for taking the time to send us your suggestions. Sincerely, Beth The Testor Corporation Consumer Affairs Department 1-800-837-8677 (1-800-testors) M-F 8:00 A.M - 4:00 PM CST >>> <racepics007@yahoo.com> 6/7/2012 2:16 PM >>> Hello, Given the popularity of the recent Fujimi release of their Pantera kit(s) what are the chances of seeing reissues of the Gunze kits sold under your label making a comeback? Or better still maybe an agreement between you (Testors) and Tokoyo Mauri to bring back their kits as they were actually a very accurate early Pantera. Just some random thoughts and dreaming. Sincerely, Tim Ridout
  18. Scale modeling By Chris has a phone booth with that type of phone. Maybe if you contact him he may sell just the phone.
  19. Very interesting! It looks like a Toronado from the side view!
  20. You are doing an awesome job. I am forwarding a link to this build to a friend of mine who currently owns the real Victorian that is being restored.
