  1. I picked mine up today as well since HL was on sale. It’s not bad for a round2 new tooling. The body though the chrome trimming doesn’t go all the way around in the corners as you see on the box. So that’s gonna need fixing to look right, and the mold lines everywhere, and sink mark galore, and the panel lines are almost non existent. The chrome looks nice, but little thick too along with bad placement of gates. I just go into a new tooled kit with high expectations. I’m just being picky, but it is a nice quality kit that I’m sure will go together no problems. Hardest part is gonna be figuring out if I wanna do a solid color or two tone lol.
  2. Mine had a lot, but didn’t have the sale so I left it. Now I wish I would have grabbed one.
  3. My other ikea skadis custom 3D printed parts came in. Didn’t hang them all up as I’m still tryna get the best lay out. The ones on top can hold Tamiya, Mr color, 10 mL also gravity colors lol. The other is for Vallejo or similar bottles, and the two shelves are for Tamiya glue bottle or anything that’ll fit.
  4. Today some paints, and a cobra came in. Also custom made parts holder from Etsy. I’ve opened the cobra, and unfortunately even sealed the decals were not 100% white, but more like beige yellow. If I can’t get them back white I’ll just keep it basic like on the Viking blue bottle of paint.
  5. The rims make that cobra. Nice work man.
  6. Looks better than it did. The other two you mentioned I use for detail chrome painting along with AK super chrome. They’re not worth using otherwise unless it’s something you’re never gonna touch afterwards or hardly touch before hand. They’re way too delicate for my liking, but that’s just me.
  7. Got my ikea skadis installed. Just temporary for now, and not sure if I’m gonna keep half of my tape up. Takes quite a bit of space, and I got more custom skadis stuff from Etsy on the way.
  8. Interior done, and body on, and mostly done. Still got some glass n stuff to put on. Dang 2K fought me every step of the way on the hood, and right side of the body. Still looks decent ?, and first time doing seat belts.
  9. I’m a lacquer guy. I use all types of paint though. I pretty much do automotive lacquer paints for bodies(interior if it’s called for), Tamiya LP/Mr.hobby for everything else, and Tamiya enamels for tiny detailing. I do own Vallejo paints, Tamiya acrylic line up as well. Hot paints though I’d definitely practice on spoons or donor body. They’re not as forgiving as regular lacquer paints, but they are easy to get the hang of though.
  10. Last stage of the dodge charger RT came in. Giant acrylic case to put together.
  11. Dang that sucks man. Was this straight from zoomon or from another site? Everything I’ve always ordered from zoomon I always got, and they always add free stuff.
  12. Thanks man! It looks pretty good, but I made a lot of rookie mistakes. 2K job could be much better, amongst some other things. Instead of binning it I told myself I was gonna finish her on up. Didn’t want the rest to go to waste, as my first attempt at “weathering” to lol.
  13. Took BD money, and did another plaza Japan order. Unfortunately the GT R box got damaged from water from damaged box. Thanks fedex ?
  14. Shouldn’t be a big concern because it’s silly. It’s just a bit extra - like what’s the point? So incase we missed you from the back? We got you from the front? Or incase you lose one you got a spare? lol
  15. I would never put matching plates on both ends or live in those states lol. I don’t even really like seeing random oddball goofy tags in the front of vehicles. Maybe I’m just weird?
  16. Straight from Hong Kong we got some US license plates. Wish they had only my state though, but it is what it is. Nicer than kit stuff. Not sure why there calling them stickers cause it’s actual decals.
  17. Picture making it look thicker than it really is. Only 4 coats with last coat being thinned more. One of my better 2K jobs with no orange peel just few dust specs, and now this fisheye issue. Can that spot be sanded carefully, and re cleared? Or we’re talking about a complete redo? If so I’m just gonna sand, compound etc as normal.
  18. So I didn’t see this while clear coating, but noticed it after the 2K was drying for a bit. Did this happen being too impatient between coats or somehow something was on the paint of the hood, and I didn’t notice it or something? Just wanna figure this out for non future mistakes. This actually first time this has happened as well.
  19. Happy birthday ? ?. Mines today, and I’m taking the BD money I’ll be getting, and doing another big plaza Japan order. Sadly working right now on my BD… sigh Pepsi life.
  20. Yeah never expected so many MAY babies here lol. Happy BD to you too ???
  21. I know I said earlier few pages back my kit funds were low…….and they are, but this deal was too good to pass up on winning bid on eBay. Just the PE alone is worth half what I paid. $58 sold n shipped. Box is a little worn, but kit is fully intact.
  22. That booth a little lacking far as exhaust power goes, but it may be work okay. Just be sure to have extra window or two open if in closed doors.
  23. Use to read a lot of this guys stuff back before i got into the hobby. Would actually find his posts just searching on google for specific things. Didn't know him at all, but sucks he's gone. What in the world happened?
