  1. I tested the spoon I shot with Alclads matte coat, and seems it likes to rub off to easily. Gonna give testors dull coat a try, but hopefully more products can be mentioned along with the Tamiya. Thank you.
  2. So I own Alclads matte coat, and I own testors dull coat. Haven’t used much of the dull coat, but the Alclads matte coat I tested on a painted spoon, and looked great, and dried perfectly fine. So used it on motorcycle frame 2 coats, and it’s been tacky for over 2 weeks. Some sections have took fingerprints, and looks rubbed off being shiny. I’m not sure what I did wrong, but should I re test or just use a new product? Not sure why it worked perfectly fine on the spoon test, and not the frame. I did use 1 coat on the spoon, and 2 coats on the frame.
  3. Got another charger from hobby lobby for $20. Everything else from hobby town. The Tamiya is Italian red, and Matt black.
  4. I remember getting mine from hobbylinc. I have seen this kit at hobby town for $50 which is the cheapest I’ve ever seen it.
  5. I own this kit, and I’ve looked myself n could never find anything.
  6. There’s another technique, but this applies more to Tamiya, and other Japanese kits. For kits with no window masks, and without buying aftermarket. This tip will help a lot as well.
  7. There’s actually quite a few aftermarket shifters you can get. Here’s a example.
  8. Yeah $12.99 here. The trailers, and big rigs are $19.99
  9. Yeah I have the type A mat. It’s great if I need something smaller than Tamiya’s 1mm.
  10. There thick cause there foam. Great for sanding on curves etc without losing the shape of the part.
  11. Got some paint on the CBR1000 RR-R engine block. Two of my favorite Tamiya LP colors titanium silver, and Mica Silver.
  12. New Makera bits came in today. Gorgeous! 0.2mm-1.1mm 1.2mm-2.1mm
  13. Yeah this brand of sand paper is great. I own all the types even the zebra type. The pads clog up fast sanding primer though, but so does Tamiya. You should try there sticky sheets that work for there photoetch mini sticks or basically anything you could stick em too. Great for getting into tiny areas, and I think go all the way up too 7k.
  14. From scalehobbyist. Have both Fireblades now. I’m hoping the pearl white over white primer will give me the proper white? If not I may have to order the proper color from zero paints.
  15. That’s nice also my favorite ice cream.
  16. I have the Mr Color Replenishing Agent too, and it works good with Tamiya as well.
  17. Definitely a bargain. $19 for a set is just insane.
  18. Gotcha, and yes I’ve seen those new sets. Been out of stock on multiple sites.
  19. Yeah it’s cheaper, but I always do DHL when I order from plazajapan there super fast just deliver late to my area. DHL is actually cheaper than fedex on there, and I’d choose DHL over FedEx any day of the week lol. Curious to what you ordered ?
  20. You could try an adhesion promoter. There’s a ton of different ones, but this was the cheapest one. $8-$9.
  21. With regards to everything up top make sure you use a quality micro fiber or flannel cloth. Cheap micro fiber towels can leave scratches.
  22. You’re doing the right thing. Mr hobby’s primers are top notch, and besides Tamiya the only other primer that rivals it is titan hobby’s primer. I don’t use Tamiya because it’s no longer compatible with scalefinises paints. Mr hobbies primers work with everything I own, and basically fool proof, and with leveling thinner there is no need for anything else for an airbrush user. If all you could use is spray bombs, and get more bang for my buck? I would only use titan hobby’s primer as it’s 400mL a can for $13-$15 and rivals Tamiya, and Mr hobby.
  23. Mr hobby has a base white too
