  1. Looks blotchy. What PSI are you spraying at? Try thinning the paint little more say 1:2 paint to thinner. Spray @20 psi.
  2. Good ole regular non scented dawn + water. Let it soak for little bit, and they’ll be clean as they’ll get. You don’t need super clean, or any other type of cleaner. Just good ole dawn. If you want extra cleaning power just use 4x dawn. Can also use a cheap soft bristle toothbrush if you need to scrub a little.
  3. You could have got it at Ollie’s for $20 if you were lucky. But it’s not true to scale like other trailer kits.
  4. The revell germany version is better because the decal sheet has more to it. Yes the 300L Gullwing is a beautiful kit. One of Tamiyas best kits.
  5. Bet he could make killer money off that skill.
  6. Yeah I read bout that. Sure it’ll be my best option if the UV lamp doesn’t do better.
  7. Yeah model colors is nice. My hobby town stocks a ton of it.
  8. Talking about the Vallejo model air black? Cause it’s a nice black as well, and brush paints good.
  9. So I got a small UV/LED nail lamp from Amazon to try and remove the yellowing on older decals. It seems to be working okay, but I’m not sure if 6 watts is strong enough? Plus the thang is annoying turning off every 15 mins. Is a higher wattage better or just 6 watts good enough, and just gotta play the waiting game? Really need something that will stay on 24/7 as well.
  10. Yeah it’s acrylic paint, and washable. It’s kids paint used for shirts or hand painting etc.
  11. petroleum…But I think in the near future online prices is gonna kill a lot of hobby shops. Hobby town may last, but I hardly buy any kits out of there. Prices are better than eBay, but man I can’t see paying $85+ for example a trailer kit I can get online for $50-60 free ship.
  12. Word. Ever since I used there LP line up I stopped using there X- XF series except few colors. I love using their enamel line up too for detail work as well. Don’t get me wrong the X-XF line is good stuff - just compared to LP it’s not as good especially the Metallics. Mr hobby super metallics 2 are also amazing. Vallejo is good stuff as well, and model color is great too for detail work too. Also yeah I haven’t seen a shop around here that sells the LP line up. I always buy mine online for $2.50 or so, and LP-5 is the best semi- gloss black I’ve used, and I keep a Tamiya 45mL jar always full n thinned of the stuff.
  13. Haven’t tried it, and not sure if it works as good as new improved chrome. But wouldn’t the black polish up, and be too shiny after burnishing it down compared to semi gloss black? Unless it keeps a Matt finish after it’s down.
  14. Looks pretty good, and nice to see another vapor ?.
  15. I use one similar to this one. You can find all kinda on Amazon. Pretty cheap $15-$20.
  16. I believe scalefinishes has its own section for salvinos paints.
  17. Alclads aqua gloss would work fine, but it’ll dull the finish like all clear coats will.
  18. There’s a site I order cologne from that’s similar to this. Even though hobbylinc will say if something is truly out of stock this site doesn’t. So after an order is done if something is out of stock they refund that part, and ship the rest. I mostly order paint, bottles, glue, etc from hobbylinc so never had the out of stock issue. You’re right though it isn’t a great system as it’s more a first come first serve in my opinion. So whatever you ordered that was out of stock others must’ve of got it first before your order got pulled.
  19. Well this was at 110F baking for a hour. Probably just gonna stick with 2K for the bodies, and use the 1K for wheels etc that need a good gloss. Might try another test sometime, and let it bake longer.
  20. 10 years before I was born lol
  21. So I was testing out some new 1K I got, and after all said and done it’s really soft. I mean it sands, compounds, and polishes good, but it take’s fingerprints easily. I tried using cleaner wax that I use on 2K, but it still leaves finger prints. Is that just the nature of 1K?
  22. Never had that happen. Must happen with certain things, and first come first serve type of situation. Everything I always ordered got shipped out after 4-5 days, and got delivered in 2-3 days. Totally understand why you’re frustrated bout it though.
  23. I’m pretty sure decanting it will work the same as decanting any other paint. Might have to thin it a little, but there’s plenty of 1K airbrush ready paints you can buy without decanting.
