I’ve sprayed textured paint from MCW through a .5 no problems. You should be able to spray the dupli color thinned no problem with a .5.

So it’s a tester body? I’m thinking it’s your actual work you’re building on.

I haven’t, but I use badgers needle juice. I’ve had the same bottle sense I’ve been in the hobby, and it’s only like $5-$6 depending where you look.

Man from what I seen in the video based off the hood, and some parts on the body you got more issues to worry about than a clear coat. Looks to me the enamel didn’t cure, and the clear with the thinner dissolved some sections. If you do not have a dehydrator? You’re gonna have to be patient, and let the testors enamel dry properly for a good while. Really depends on what you thinned the enamel with, and without an added hardener it’s gonna take a long time. If I were you I’d take the time to practice, read up, and be patient or you’re gonna have a miserable experience. You also don’t have to have everything the same brand. There’s nothing wrong with doing that, but mixing products work just fine long as you know what you’re doing. You could thin that testors enamel with Mr hobby leveling thinner, and it will work every time. That’s just an example of a different product used with a different product.

Yeah megahobby is a good place. I prefer scalehobbyist lot more as there cheaper on a lot of stuff.

Yeah the shade is off some, but still looks great ??. Also yeah I totally understand not test fitting based off a particular company, but I even test fit every thing Tamiya even though they’re the goats.

Went back to my local Ollie’s and they had some new stuff, but no transtars though.

They will respond but could take time. I know it took them little time to respond when all the stuff was going on with their recent kit that came out. Sucks it warped, because that color is gorgeous. Also test fit everything before any kind of painting, and what color yellow is that?

Never broke my 0.2 Tamiya engraving blade, but did manage to break the 0.1. Accidentally twisted it around a corner, and the tip snapped. Also yes 0.2 is the best size.

New. Takes enough time to build it- don’t wanna just rebuild as it’ll be how I want the first time.

I’m not familiar with a lot of enamels, but you keep painting until it’s done. So if you got a gloss color you’ll shoot until she glosses up. I could be wrong though? So wait till someone else chimes in.

Yeah my Japan stash is getting close to out doing AMT/Revell/Moebius stash. Mostly Tamiya & Aoshima with few trumpeter, & 1 or 2 fujimi, & few meng kits mixed in.
