  1. So I had asked for revel for a replacement part for the kenworth W-900 dumb truck. It came in after bout a week, but it pretty the same if not a little worse lol. Excuse my sons hand in the pic. Guess imma have to do some sanding n filling to get this one right .
  2. Yeah besides the two sets of tires, decals, and 2 sets of rims. The surfboards, and parts are the cleanest in the whole kit lol. I’ll probably snag another one to see if I can get a better body. They had this one in the pic too there.
  3. Could say the same bout anything with adhesive like BMF etc, just gotta have faith lol. But IF it did come up a little in a corner or curved surface I wouldn’t ever see it especially being black. But could always lay down a nice smooth coat of CA glue or etc and, then lay down the felt. Might actually test that out on a scrap part, and see how it bonds.
  4. Picked one of these up at ole Ollie’s. Got it open, and guess I got a lemon. Enough flash to mold a full kit, one side of the van the mold around the door is basically non existent. Tires, rims, and decals are great so worth $12.99 typical 80 year old outdated mold from the good folks who ThRiVe for the details ?
  5. I got mine from Amazon. Different brands and different colors. But $9 for a 10 pack so enough to do tons n tons of models. I know lot of folks don’t like the look, but done right with better cutting than I did I think it looks the part for what it is.
  6. I was doing embossing powder, but I could never get good results with it on non flat services. So I started using the stuff they use to wrap jewelry boxes etc. stuff comes in lot of colors, and it very thin easy to cut, and sticks really good. Whether or not it looks real or not is mute to me - because isn’t no one looking at a fully built model like MAN that carpet look good - unless it’s convertible or something, but still get ya priorities straight lol.
  7. Be careful with decal solutions. Some are stronger than others, and can damage decals. Tamiya works good, but stronger than micro scales set/sol which are good too, but weaker than Tamiya. Mr hobby has a decal solution set too, but I think it’s stronger than Tamiya. You also got Solva set which is very strong as well prob as strong as mr hobby’s. Set/Sol probably your best bet as it’s cheap, and works great especially SOL to get that painted on look.
  8. That’s cause you’re using it wrong. Even though it can work that way - it’s really meant to be used for parts out together unpainted. It works best when parts are pre fitted together so it can flow through n weld the parts together i.e engine halves. I personally use quick setting extra thin by Tamiya as it dries faster. The orange non scented cement is thick like regular CA glue, and is used in the same manner. Wanna try and not get too much paint on the brush either as dipping it back in the glue like that it can lose it’s potency over time. But if you’re wanting to glue parts together like using CA glue? Then you want the orange cap octagon shaped bottle.
  9. Some more parts for the dodge charger R/T came steps 67-70.
  10. Whenever you can let us know the quality of the Land Rover. I had no idea that was coming out.
  11. Wants $1000, but still has the nerve to charge $17 shipping lol.
  12. I wouldn’t touch it that’s just me. I only use plaza Japan for my Japan fix.
  13. Thought that mustang was august release?
  14. He has a net worth of 130-140 billion. I think he’ll be okay, and probably doesn’t care, and I don’t think he’s the CEO of Amazon anymore lol.
  15. Yeah it does better out the can. I had some trouble trying to air brush it on kit parts because of the over spray. I’ll probably get another can sometime.
  16. Yeah the company makes a ton of great good looking tools for us. Besides the vice heres 3 others the rolling set, photoetch bending tool, and circle cutter.
  17. Thanks guys. She’s the one that picked out the color because of the first picture of it over a white base. I accidentally did it over a black base, and it turnt out much darker, but thankfully she ended up liking it. I told her the same thing that it’s gonna look really good with a 2K clear coat on it. It’s certainly a unique color for a 65 impala lol, and with the black chromed out interior, and exterior it should pop.
  18. Well ordered dispade color from scalefinises awhile back carbon steel Pearl. Finally got around to using it along with the black base he gave me. So after using the color, instead of it looking like the first pic it turnt out like u see in all the other pics. No clear coat yet so it’ll look much better, but this car isn’t for me. I asked my girl if she liked this look a lot better than the original look (over white base, not black). In my head I’m like sigh gonna have to strip, and redo everything. But she actually said it looked good, and that I didn’t have to change it. So win win I suppose.
  19. Plaza Japan is the best I think you’ll get. I order from them all the time, and their packaging is really good. The shipping is little high, but worth it considering most of the kits in the state that are $40+ you can get from them like $13-20$. I only order from them when I do big orders because of the shipping. They do Japan post, fedex, and DHL. DHL is the best, but shipping costs more.
  20. This gorgeous thang came in today. Rebox of lindburg. This might be my goal for it, and the rims look littler better than the spoke rims, but I’m not sure wha type of rims those are. Not sure yet still deciding. But from what I’ve been looking up it looks more like the Victoria. Didn’t know there was different versions of the same car.
  21. Good white primer Mr surfacer 1500 or Tamiya white primer. Even pink primer would work good too. Id recommend use water n 3000K grit to sand the primer nice and smooth, and then go for the color coat. 3M has 3K grit pads you can get from Walmart or any automotive store, and worth every penny too $6 will last long time. I wouldn’t recommend Vallejo or ammo for doing a car body, and wouldn’t recommend Tamiya hybrid either. If you have to use Tamiya use their lacquer line up either aerosol or air brush 10ml bottles. Leagues better than their hybrid line up, and even the color pigment is better.
  22. The more coats of the revell the longer it’ll take to dry. Id let it dry for a good day or so just to be safe.
  23. There’s a lot of info missing from your topic. Do you want information about aerosol cans or airbrush? What type of finish are you currently getting? What white paint are you using? White isn’t the easiest of colors to do as it’s…white.
  24. These came in today. The gray scale goes up to 90% just didn’t feel like i would need it.
