  1. The correct decals from Mike's decals to go with this kit. The original kit was David Pearson, but these decals allow for the AJ Foyt Dayton 500 winner.
  2. Great accurate build. Over the last 40+ years, I have come to the conclusion that someone on set must have thought George Furth looked a little bit like AJ Foyt, so they gave his character that name.
  3. I think this is the last purchases for a while. While model building can break out into two hobbies. Building and collecting, I have been doing way more collecting than building this year.
  4. I for one appreciate Round2, Revell, and Moebius and others who have not only kept the hobby going but re-energized it. Over the years however I have seen cars come and go thinking those would make great models. I could never understand why the model industry ignored the Colonnade Cars from 73-77. You might find a race car version, or even 1/32 scale, but the 1/25-1/24 scale was missing in action. I would love to see more military in 1/25 scale instead of the old 1/35 scale. More wagons. Not just 2 door wagons, but real world "Don't make me pull this car over" 4 door wagons. It comes down to this: Many cars and trucks were ignored over the years. Popular cars mostly starting with the 70s cars after the muscle car era ended. Keep doing what you are doing but bring back annual kits along with filling in the gaps from the past.
  5. I totally agree. We need more newer stuff. More 70s, 80s, and 90s stuff. Maybe more 2000s too. Even obscure stuff can be cool. How many times can you re-pop the same old cars from the 40s, 50s and 60s. I would love to see a 2004 Silverado SS, or a 04 Cadillac CTS-V, or later CTS wagon or coupe, or some of the early 70s GM intermediates. How about a mid 80s Crown Victoria, or Fairmont, or an Escort GT, or Dodge Magnum I was so excited last year learning about the release of the 84 K5 Blazer from Revell. It was about time. How about Mobius do a series of 73-90 GM trucks like they have done with the Fords. How about a square body Suburban so I do not have to use two kits to build one.
  6. I believe Monogram started making 1/8 scale models in 1965 with the introduction of the 1965 Corvette. It has been re-popped a few times including as a Revell kit in the past ten years.
  7. Another successful Hobby lobby adoption.
  8. I am sure you are the only one who sees the flaws in your work. All I see is road trip!😀 Outstanding job.
  9. Walking though Walsmart today, and these three orphans jumped out at me. Of course I adopted them.
  10. Great build Bostic did not post much that I am aware of on the National forum, but I was aware of him, and his car. Great job with the tribute. I did notice his car does not have Euro spec glass T84 headlights, but the stock plastic north American lights instead. BLACKOUT
  11. I am not sure why I need this, but I adopted it from a local store.
  12. MPC/AMT kits seem to always offer more options, but sacrifice quality, and ease of build. Monogram/Revell usually go together best, while offering very few, or no options.
