  1. That's a beauty Bob, even more satisfying when it represent a real car . That semi gloss black gives it that bad boy look.??
  2. Wow, what a difference ! . this Tamiya met orange is one of my favorite color. You nailed that one. I like everything about it.
  3. Nice rendition. I agree Chrysler back then had beautiful designs. I agree, the kit lacks in details but the body looks spot on. Besides, the lack of details are not paramount if its on a shelve. It looks really great as it is, especially in this color.
  4. Great build Samuel, as they say, pretty in pink! ?
  5. I always liked the style of the stratos. It's a beautiful car. Straight out of the box. Custom mix acrylic paint cleared with TS13. The only minor issue is the body/chassis fitment. You have to spread the side a lot to fit the chassis but once it's there, it fits snugly, no need to glue. This car looks good from any angle. As always , thanks for looking.
  6. Great build. Parts. ideas and talent = great looking truck ?
  7. Great job on this classic. One of the most beautiful racing car of that era. Of course ,it's just my opinion.
  8. That turned out super nice. Great job on this "not for beginner " kit.
  9. What a clean looking mustang. The trim and badges are so crisp.
  10. All great looking builds, my favorite, that 56 in those colors, perfect.
  11. Cool 29. Great job on the engine.
  12. Great build Anders, that yellow really makes it pop. Great job on the subtle weathering of the engine bay, very realistic.
  13. Great fat fender. It looks great in this color.
  14. Amazing build of a unique caddy. The added lights make it really cool.
  15. Awesome build. I like the gray on gray scheme. Very interesting look.
  16. A great looking Chevy. The colors are classic. Very clean build.
  17. Great build and nice color.
  18. I don't know what it's made of but I use 70% isopropyl alcohol for acrylics and it works great, water would work but it has more surface tension than alcohol . Some use Windex, best is to trial and error and go with what works best for you. If you intent using metallic paint. Start with very thin mist coats and let them dry between the coats.
  19. Welcome to the forum Rick. What hasn't change, at least for me, is the joy of building and having a real object to show for.
  20. Welcome to the forum Robert. These are nice builds.
  21. Thanks James. Thanks Ray. I finally got a cobra, it's the ROG in 1/24 , will tackle this beauty soon. Thanks Michelle. Thanks Jeremy. Thanks Bob. Thanks Andy. I still have some left, thanks for the heads up. Thanks Chris Thanks Bob. I remember in early 70's seeing cars with headlight plastic covers, some were even tinted blue. Thanks Harry, the vinyl top is molded on and very nicely done too. I have seen some using masking tape and also paint airbrushed at a distance but it takes some practice. Thanks Donato Thanks Helmut. Not my typical subject but I got this one at a bargain price. I put it off for a while though but I'm glad I did it finally. Thanks Rex. Thanks Lee. This an ex MPC kit so the chassis and engine are not really heavy on details. I just wanted a quick build that looked good on the shelve. I did put more details on a RR 74 from MPC by grafting an AMT 69 RR chassis and engine, will post it eventually. Thanks Carl. Glad to see you up and about. Thanks Jeremy.
