  1. High time for an update, the first 2 pics show the body prepped for paint and in primer. The last pics shows the body painted, main body done in 3 coats of Tamiya pure white and 3 coats of pearl on top of that, the pearl is very hard to see in the pics, the roof is done in Testors revving red. The body does look a little plain like this but should get a lot better after I foil and add some decals. I think this is my first 2 tone paint job, so I was just going for a good finish with low difficulty so I wouldn't mess it up. All comments welcome.

  3. Thanks guys, I agree Lee, the guy forgot to check the oil blew the engine and he had this one laying around behind his garage, that's my story and I am sticking to it, lol.
  4. Thanks for the links those prices are much better than my LHS, mine charges in the low to mid $70's for all the new tamiya kits. I will have to check and see what it costs to ship to the US.

  12. The engine looks great so far, and the chassis amazing, it's hard to even tell if it's full size.

    Looks very good, I like the two tone paint.

  20. I like it, the color is different but I like it, the chassis looks very good from what I can see. You could just back up about 6 inches and than take the pics, that may help.

  24. Thanks guys, Gene I just cut the header flanges out of sheet stock, kit parts were to thick and look more like cast iron manifolds than headers. I will have to scratch build those as well.
