More info here: http://www.eldorado-seville.com/67eldo/67eldohistory/ Good thing this bug-eyed monstrosity never made it through, but those suicide rear doors were a thing for a while: I love how the A-pillar flows right out into the hood peak edges on the below car. The quad headlights mounted low, not so much:

It looks like they are from a Pinto promo:

The flyer above states they have addressed both. They are releasing the Piranha dragster as a stand alone kit, too, as AMT kit #1122.

The ultimate Must Have when it comes to automotive styling and design: These two Michael Lamm books are must haves, too, if youre interested in GM F-bodies: Cars That Never Were is also a great book, featuring many different makes of cars which never made it past the design or clay stage, including some great Tri-Five Chevies:

Not 100% certain this is the proper place for these, but it seems like the best place for now. Found here: https://www.caricos.com/cars/f/ford/1966_ford_mustang_mach_i_concept/images/1.html The below provides an explanation for the rear window 'glass' funkiness, too:

Thanks, that's it.

Yes, I didn't realize that until after looking over the images of the earlier AMT Chevy van kits, so I will update my post. Still puzzled why AMT decided not to include the ribs.

Looks like this place is going to carry at least the '66 Cadillac: https://internethobbies.com/collections/coming-soon/products/hasegawa-model-cars-1-24-1966-cadillac-sedan-deville-lowrider-kit Might be cheaper to order direct from Japan, though, too.

Monogram wants in on this party, too:

"Chevrolet Studio brought this clay model proposal for a 1972 four door Monte Carlo to a design review in early May, 1970": "Chevy Studio was close to releasing the '73 Monte Carlo design when this photo was taken in December of 1969.": "In late May, 1963, Chevrolet Studio took their latest fiberglass model of the '65 Impala fastback coupe outside for a design review.": "Pontiac Studio took this proposal for the 1964 full-sized Pontiac program outside for a review in early May, 1961" Ooooof. : "Chevy Studio was working on this alternative for the '71 Impala program when this studio file photo was taken on October 17, 1968.":

Trucks, too: "This photo from the files of GM's Truck Studio documented where the design for the '72 El Camino was in late April, 1970.": "GM's Truck Studio was still looking at alternative designs for Chevrolet's '58 pickup truck when this photo was taken in March, 1956.": "In the summer of 1963, GM's Truck Studio was working on a pickup version of the Chevrolet G-Van. I have few more wheel covers and wheels I could use some help indentifying, please. I think most are Ford except for the lone Mercury (#4) wheel cover. '67-8 Ford Thunderbird Jo-Han '63 Olds Starfire Custom wheelcover from the AMT '64 El Camino AMT '63 Mercury, both full-size and Meteor AMT '71-'73 Mustang '71 Ford Pinto Promo Revell '69 Mach 1 Mustang MPC '69 Mustang

I think the "Rockin' Roller" is the better version, due to the Centerline Auto Drag(?) style wheels versus the Cragar Mach 8 wheels on the Flip Nose issue:
