  1. A bed cover would be easy, but the bottom of the bed would still need to be finished properly, so no sense in going only half way.
  2. Thanks, guys. The bed sides are the easiest parts to modify, and they're pretty much done now: As for the bed floor and inner sides, there's a lot more work to be done, especially where the floor ribs butt together from the spliced sections. You can still see where those joints are, so once you can't, I'll be done: I also started on an extended cab, too, but again, there's still a lot of work to be done. I've got the cab roof close to finished, but the rear quarter window areas need detailing, as well as the inside surfaces of the cab around the quarter windows. Here's where it's at so far:
  3. Looks like this kit is out a bit early. At least one eBay seller has it listed as being in stock. Too bad they chose the '78 with the, um, less good looking hood. http://www.round2models.com/models/mpc/amc-pacer-x

  5. I think it's what became of the '65 kit, or at least the most recent variant.
  6. There are both 1/25 and 1/24 scale '65-'67 Vettes in the Revell lineup, some Revell 1/25 and some Monogram originated 1/24 kits. I think this kit would be the best donor:

  8. This appears to be that car:
  9. I'm guessing it was made from two standard kit bucket seats, but it looks like the buddy seat was available in '67:
  10. Hart's Parts has you covered: http://www.hartspartsresin.com/resin-parts-list/revell-monogram
  11. The 1/25 Revell '68 Dodge Charger R/T kits include a set of 14" Keystone Klassic wheels, but they are a bit generic, and not as crisp as the front wheels in the Revell '64 Ford T-Bolt kits IMHO. Here are the '68 Charger's wheels I mentioned:
  12. Welcome aboard, Saif. You should look into either the Tamiya or Testors Model Master lines of spray paints first. In order to use the small jar of enamel paint in your link, you would need thinner and an airbrush to apply it to the body, so if you can find the color you want (both the above mentioned companies make ready-to-spray military colors), you don't need the airbrush-- just spray right out of the can. Testors Flat Olive comes in a 3 oz spray can, too: http://www.testors.com/product/0/1265T/_/Flat_Army_Olive_-_3_oz._Spray_Can I'm sure someone who is local to Toronto can guide you to a local hobby shop where these paints are stocked.
  13. There must be a separate tooling insert for the wheels, as the original stock-only issue (#7359) contained Magnum 500 style wheels, and the second issue S&M car (#7365) had the Kesytone Klassic Kustomag wheels. It's possible the Keystone wheel insert went missing or was damaged, so they used the wheel insert from the '67 Coronet kit, which IIRC included Cragar S/S wheels at one time. IMHO, neither the Keystone Klassic Kustomag nor the Cragar S/S wheels in any of Revell's kits looked all that great, and there are better options available.
  14. No, you can't repair cracks in "clear" plastic kit parts, unfortunately. Replacement is the best option IMHO. Welcome to the forum, too.
  15. Yep, thin or bevel the wheel's rim/lip until they seat deeper inside the tire.
  16. Another fauxback from Round2:
  17. Drag City Casting does: E-mail: lowcab36@epix.net
  18. After lots of careful splicing, test fitting, sanding, and the first coat of primer, we have something resembling a first gen S-series longbed:
  19. The canopy just wasn't working out, so I eliminated it and molded the canopy base to the body. I need to attend to two small areas around the canopy base (fairing?), but the underside of the body is finish primed, and one more coat of primer should finish off the exterior for now.

  23. I did notice the AMT '65 Chevelle Wagon, Ford Van, Stude Avanti, and several other Revell kits on clearance at the Green Bay, WI store, replaced by several other newer releases. The Avanti's been on the shelf for almost exactly one year, but the AMT '76 Gremlin is still on the shelf, and I've yet to see it clearance priced. HL seems to get both "new" releases (as in they stock them within the month the hit the street) as well as some which are a few months old (such as the Rat Roaster), so they don't seem to follow the typical stock pattern a LHS would.
  24. I rarely use the attachment upload feature, so I don't recall what the previous limit was, but it now appears to be: Max. single file size: 2MB
