A question for Mr. Goldman - Re Round 2
s.p.e.c.t.r.e. replied to iwantmodels's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
It's good to hear the Supervan/Love Machine is being discussed, as it would be welcomed back, as would the IMC Bugs Buggy, that only had one release in 69.( molds gone?) and still hoping for a Barris Bed Buggy, that R2 almost released 5 or 6 years ago, as that has become unaffordabletainom -
scalemates says that DOYUSHA had the molds as of 1985, with one previous release in the late 70s. their online shop shows a category for show cars, so maybe they still have them in storage. if you want them to release them again, here's a link to their contact form. Doyusha Contact Form

AMT727 Koo-Koo-Kar… has it come yet?
s.p.e.c.t.r.e. replied to funnycarfan's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I would buy a Koo-Kar Kar, would also Like for them to release The Barris Bed Buggy ,as was shown a few years ago. And since we are on the subject of show cars, would like to see these come back, providing the molds have survived the decades, as I'm sure would most of you guys. -
I would just like to hear from Atlantis, If they have these or not. If they are missing ,presumed scrapped, (unobtanium ) would just like to know once and for all. If they do have them, think about repairing and issuing the Mercer, to see if there is any demand. Do it as a kickstarter, if you have too. I thought we would never see the Man from U.N.C.L.E. car, or the Pyro Serpent again, but they showed up,so you never know. http://www.madle.org/evival.htm

If he could get his website back up, I would orders some kits.
-
I think all the Pyro molds are at Round 2, based on the Lindberg reissues in the past, and the Serpent issue of a few years ago. the reason behind the large amount of 1/32 kits in the sixties was the that was the scale of most of the public slot car tracks that were huge during the that time, and lexan bodys were not conceived until the end of that decade. So all the slot cars were styrene.

as long as it has a working ejector seat.

this is the site of one of the guys that invented the superfly car trend. http://www.madle.org/edunham.htm get the eye bleach out.

SuPerfly?? Really? U guys are kidding ,right? Early 70s ghetto coke/smack dealer/pimp film with a great soundtrack by Curtis Mayfield. would probably sell 5 kits. back on page 1 of this thread Phirewriter posted the 68 Mach One Showcar, that has only been issued twice. I'm hoping this is the Mystery car , as that would probably sell the most kits for R2. but I'll buy anything (almost) that has not been issued for 40 years.

Here's a few that have had only one release, and are now high dollar collector kits, hmm, their all MPC (maybe lost tooling?) . Bed Buggy was announced in 2017 ,still waiting on that one. But it's probably a Funny Car , those are really popular lately. I dig Show Cars cause I worked for a ISCA agent ( 69-72) as a teenager , moving cars on & off show trailers , and airbrushing t-shirts .
