  1. One would have to make a set out of saulder with the engine glued in place
  2. I completely agree it’s a great kit as is I’ve used it as a basis to build at least 4 other cars the stone woods and Cooke , the Gas Ronda car , and I used the chassis under my Dick Harrell camaro , and Ohio George’s red 69 mustang. It’s a pretty basic chassis that can work under a wide variety of gassers and match race stockers you just have to be a little outside the box. I’m glad to have this one back as I have used up my stash of them as an added bonus there’s that fantastic box art . Keep up the great work round 2
  3. As far as the 65 barracuda goes there are decals available for several different builds including the HEMI UNDER GLASS RICHARD PETTY’S 43 Jr BOB SULLIVAN’S PANDEMONIUM THE TOM McEWEN REAR ENGINE CAR THE BRAND X CAR THE GOLDEN COMMANDOS GOLDFISH If I missed any let me know With that said I’ll be good for six kits even more if you figure in all the donor kits needed this should be a great sales year for round 2
  4. I’ve been searching for a 63 dodge wagon for years it would be ideal for someone to cast or print one
  5. It looks fantastic I really like the up top you don’t see them on a model to often
  6. I also have a set of these decals they were indeed decals they were indeed the original decals by Lucas before Bruce Sadwater took over . It really sucks big time that Bruce passed away without warning as he printed decals for a lot of stockers and super stocks . I sure wish someone would squire his files . I would certainly think there would be enough interest to make it worthwhile. On the same topic woopiekat had great stuff too then all the sudden Allan just dropped off the face of the earth . It just goes to show you buy them as soon as you see them
  7. That’s one sweet altered it’s really different with the injected hemi and the lower stance . The decals came out great
  8. I used the old Johan fender well headers with the lindburg chassis and found they didn’t really fit to well. They really crowded the tire you may also need to extend the tubes to meet the engine
  9. The buzz is also pretty loud for the B-model Mack. It kinda reminds me of the buzz that the AMT/ERTL 1966 Nova created in the early 90’s after what seemed like a incredibly long dry spell by AMT for something new.
  10. Oh that’s very nice
  11. Now that’s a really nice accomplishment
  12. That’s a really sweet rail job a real tribute to the old master . I think it looks pretty close to me . I would love to have a sheet of those decals were they from Joe Curtis?
  13. I built this from the Moebius AWB Dodge kit however I swapped out the wheels with crager s/s wheels most likely AMT from my parts stash the slicks are AMT Good years . The paint is Tamyia white on the bumpers and Italian red lacquer topped Joe Curtis decals . As I have very few reference photos of this car in some of them the car might have had some black paint fogged on the lower quarters and rocker panels if I can verify I will go back and spray it on later . This car was how it appeared in 1966 after Dick Landy sold it . The Landy car in the photos is one that I built years ago from a resin kit and slixx decals there is more about my Landy build in BUILDING THE COVERS Vol #30 I think it’s somewhere around page 35 of this form. umtil next time thanks for looking, Mike
  14. WOW!! That’s one great rail job but let’s talk about that trailer it just knocked it out of the park . I can’t wait to see an appropriate dodge wagon to tow and push start it . I guess after that you’ll need to build a DETROIT DRAG WAY and Hodges Dodges dealer. Keep us posted
  15. I’m thinking a surf wagon would be pretty cool , also a full custom , and a drag car tow wagon, an ambulance kit bash with the caddy kit , and perhaps a funereal flower car . So make that at least 9 momads
  16. They are all finished and in the under glass drag racing section.
  17. A box stock build the paint is testors white enamel and one of the testors metallic orange lacquers .I think it’s a rather striking color combination .These are great building kits with probably the best headers ever put into a model box . This is one great issue of DRAG RACING MAGAZINE as there are many great reference photos. Not just the golden commandos , but the pure hell altered as well . Until next time thanks for looking, Mike
  18. Very nice . It looks like a nice building kit I’ll have to try one of these
  19. That’s a really nice looking Willy’s it goes to show you what some careful assembly great paint and a good parts choice can do . The AMT Willy’s is one great kit . In my opinion the far better pickup when compared with the Revell kit .
  20. Your Vicky is just beautiful I’m really liking the gold finish and the choice of parts . I built one in the mid 80’s by bashing the Vicky with one of my other favorites the 37 Chevy . I think the AMT 41 Willy’s kit would also make for a good Vicky kit bash project
  21. These simple build takes me back to a time when my uncle gave me a AMT 40 Ford on my seventh birthday it would have been 1977 and if memory serves me correctly the box art showed a green 40 ford . We built it stock out of the box in raw white plastic . With the steel axles it rolled really nice and I played with it for years , and isn’t that what it’s all about when you’re 7 years old . Job well done
  22. It looks great nice sharp paint lines it’s got the right stance
  23. Surprise it’s the Moebius kit again this time built as the Sox&Martin early version with carburetors steel wheels and the big pen star . It’s wearing my usual Sox&Martin paint job of Tamyia white , Italian Red with Testors star spangled blue . It’s topped with Slixx decals of course. unitl next time thanks for looking , Mike
  24. How about it I would buy a few just for those deep dish crager s/s wheels
  25. The great Moebius kit finished in Testors white and colors by Boyd CheZoom teal pearl enamel . Boy i sure wish someone like possibly round 2 would buy whats left of the Testors line and bring all the colors back I really miss them The decals are from the talented Chuck Boener . Another fun Awb mopar build . Until next time thanks for looking, Mike
