  1. This is my hands down favorite Bob Glidden car . We were a mostly ford family in 1987 I had just got my first car a 64 Galaxie my dad drove a 56 f-100 and my mom had a 78 T-Bird. We kept motorcraft F-1A oil filters in stock. Always a Glidden fan
  2. I always liked silver and black landy cars between 63 & 66 . Definitely the best looking , and lettering in my opinion . I built these two with a mix of two of the really nice lindburg kit with a rescued Johan wheels , hard top body , and headers . I still need to go back and finish up sedan chassis and the hardtop’s headers. For now I’m calling them done. Paint color: Testors diamond dust lacquer on the sedan testors diamond dust silver with a old testors can of light silver automotive color on the hardtop’s roof and hood scoop . It's hard to see the color contrast in the photos Decals : slixx the a f/x car : parts box leaf springs, aluminum tubing axle until next time thanks for looking, Mike
  3. Yup I have a hoard of daisy mags from the AMT 63 impala
  4. Your build looks great, really clean. I’ve had mine in the box on the shelf for like 16 years now, and have been reluctant to start it because of all the inaccuracies, and most of all the wrong decals. I really wish on of the decal makers would produce a nice set. Again thanks for the inspiration. A really nice piece.
  5. I mocked up the interior and chassis plate of the yellow box 71 kit with the Mach one body . It can definitely be made to work. I wanted a little more accuracy so I ended up using the revell 69 boss 302 for a donor. I’m going to say the yellow 71 is worth getting at hobby lobby’s 40% off sale week just for the parts hoard alone
  6. Great looking build there . I find these challengers really fun to build. I made one of these a while back and had trouble with some of the white decals flaking off .
  7. Windshield and back glass insulation I’ll let this set over night then make and install the side windows. The revell glass fits the AMT body like a glove
  8. A awesome build the first time around and then you made it even more awesome.
  9. Finished the paint job on the Terry mustang yesterday. I’m very pleased on how it turned out. All ready for window chrome and windows
  10. Thanks I always try to use styrene over resin.
  11. All assembly is done and the decals are next
  12. I really like that blue paint and fully agree with you on the clumsy header assembly. Mine is still on the shelf without the headers
  13. It will be pretty cool to kit bash this with the gasser option from the AMT 55 nomad . Then there’s the idea of using the 55’s pickup option on the 57 with the gasser parts . There’s a lot of great possibilities here, and I can’t hardly wait
  14. Here’s some pictures of the Camaro bodies. The jungle Jim body was made from the early 90’s ertl reissue the red body is made from the current orange hobby lobby special. I made my bodies to fit with the mpc mustang or challenger funny car chassis and body tins . The red body will become the Broadway Freddie car
  15. I got the tail light panel rear valance and bumper fitted . With a little carful filling and trimming they fit nicely. I just had to fill in the edges of the valance with a little super glue. All ready for paint.
  16. Your builds always look great and you hold your self to a high level of detail. Did pro stocks use that wide of s slick in 1971 ? Again they both look fantastic. That pro stock hornet you built was really impressive.
  17. For this build I used a comp resin Camaro body on top of the Revell 1969 Hawaiian mini charger Funny car chassis headers : polar lights window glass : 0.10 sheet clear plastic paint : Tamyia clear blue over pearl white decals : slixx body tins are from the Hawaiian kit cut down to fit the comp body . Overall this build looks really good however I’m not really thrilled with the body proportions of the comp resin camaro , and have since been making my own body’s from the AMT Camaro by simply moving the front wheel wells forward. As for the cover all I can say is how much do we miss the fire burn outs of the early 70’s a time of excitement . As you never knew what you were about to experience on your drag race visit . When it was showmanship over corporate sponsorship dollars. Although today’s high speed funny car shows are pretty amazing . I would love to go back to the grittiness of the early to mid 70’s with the likes of Jungle Jim and all the other compadres who could really pack the house . It was like one big party. Until next time thanks for looking . Mike

  19. After a careful cutting job the revell shock towers / engine bay fit the AMT body like a glove. The chassis and interior also fit good as well . It looks like we have a nice kit bash option for a 1970 mustang in 1/25 scale
  20. I cut the shock towers/ engine bay out of a donor revell 69 mustang and with a little filing it fits the amt body like a glove.
  21. The Terry mustang is ready for decals and the platt mustang is coming along nicely
  22. I’ve been chipping away at the terry pro stock mustang. I did some work on the interior tub , I cut out the hood for the carburetor clearance and attached the scoop . I finished filling off the rocker trim along with the mustang emblems . Then sanded the body down to 1500 grit until I feel like it’s ready for paint. I prefer to spray the Tamyia white over bare white plastic with a few thin coats.
  23. Cool build great imagination. That’s a great mix of inexpensive kits , 60’s vibe decals
