  3. A lot more authentic looking, but all that repetitive work! I'd be tempted to cast a few then assemble a straight strip and cast as a unit for the horizontal sections, maybe the resin could handle a bit of sag when installed. Amazing work again, Charles!
  4. I came across a photo posted on Facebook by John Heath, from the North Devon model show today! In the middle, same truck, different scale?
  5. Great job with just the right amount of detail parts and weathering, a truck that can move mountains!
  6. I put one aside unpainted when I found a chrome version, it's pretty impressive all done up. Mine needs a matching tractor. It was designed so the edges are covered up for the most part, just the ends to clean up, but well worth the effort. Yours looks neatly done so far, keep up the momentum!
  7. Love the latest photos, just enough weathering to add realism, especially the tires with their worn look, the castings look so real, perfectly imperfect! With the overhead lighting and camera angle I can just picture it outdoors with a natural background, great photography!
  8. Amazing, when I zoom in the photo it just looks better and better, such neat workmanship! Love the chains on the tailgate, with hooks and all
  9. You need a sharp mind to keep tabs on what's glued where on multi-part hinges! Funny how small the box is, I guess it's just for spare parts and fittings, the real load is pulled behind. Hope you made that pintle hook strong enough! Nice progress, the box is neatly cut and assembled too
  10. Amazing detail, those control levers are off the chart! Love the pintle hook, can't imagine how I'd make something like that, masterful!
  11. Great job on the tanks and boxes, they really help to emphasize the size of this monster! Can't say it's weathered but it doesn't appear factory fresh either, like what we're used to seeing in trucks here, guess it's the olive drab that gives it the all-business look. Nice work!
  12. Those running boards do look great, perfect corners using that method! The battery box is a neat detail too, especially with the rounded top edge, and you're making another, looks easy, LOL
  13. Great photos of the engine, showing how the different parts contribute to the whole, very helpful to those of us who occasionally stretch our abilities to take on a similar project within a project. Sadly not much of this work is usually seen, though in your case when everything on the model opens it's a lot more visible! Impressive work, thanks for sharing
  14. Those scale model shop compressors sure look a lot like an engine don't they
  15. Gotta say I had my doubts about that casting but after cleaning it up, the grille and front details make all the difference! Your perseverance has really paid off, keep it up!
  16. Nice progress, the louvres are so neatly aligned, you must have the patience of Job! They will stand proud even in the required olive drab, a great detail
  17. Thanks for the compliments! It can be discouraging when taking on a big project and you hit some snags, and there were many, but your support is appreciated. Now i just have to fix a few issues then find somewhere to put this monster!
  18. Wow, very primitive! Good luck making these Rube Goldberg contraptions
  19. So one might say you've come "unhinged", LOL! I can see why, it's amazing the detail you pack into your build, continuous progress, thanks for showing what can be done
  20. I like how the military version has gauges spread out all over the dash! then there's a map light at the top, looks like yet another knob
  21. On that other board I saw you mentioned raised portions on the upper dash and I may have a reference photo or two for your consideration - to me they look like tunnels for the front windshield winders. Not used on military units to save costs, maybe
  22. Wow, such wide fenders, I thought metal was in short supply during the war. Guess they didn't fuss over aesthetics, either, LOL! Quite impressed with your quadruple-hinged hood, a whole lotta work in that one, a great detail faithfully replicated, kudos!
