  1. Looks pretty rough, but well worth saving, the '63 is kinda rare. I've saved up a few of this generation Riviera kit, I recall the interiors were different, and now I hear they're coming out with the '65 again, yay! Beautiful car!
  2. Nice to see that! Pretty rare kit, the 1:1 used to be everywhere in Canada back in the day
  3. Nailed it! Very unique, nice to see that box body on something different, and you added the rear bumper and ramp, cool!
  4. $10-$20 for a heat gun and you can bend styrene into any shape you want. For corners, I heat and bend it over the rounded edge of a piece of scrap wood. You need to stretch it a bit to make it conform. More heat and you can 'heat and smash' over a wooden buck or even vacuform it.
  5. I saw them on eBay and Amazon
  6. Amazing to take that on! Looking back at the 1:1 I see what you mean, it is a monster! I noticed lots of surface variation, not all is flat like on most kits. Did you see my post on piano hinges, after some digging at the website I see that they have some very small sizes available, see the photo
  7. I resemble that remark, LOL! Great progress, everything in alignment despite all the chrome trim and surface chrome bits. you have a good eye (or a strong magnifier!) Dare I say this was the easy part? Wondering how much of the ladder truck you'll be using for the body
  8. A new source for piano hinges? Looks like AT LEAST three sizes available, smallest hinge pins 0.3mm. 0.5mm and 0.8mm, check them out! https://miniworld.in.ua/en/product/mw0006-continuous-piano-hinges/
  9. Wow, great construction and weathering! Lots of little details captured on it, well done!
  10. Coming up on Sunday! Don't forget it's a NNL event, so bring your models to display while you're shopping!
  11. Thanks for the video, great coverage of the vehicle categories!
  12. Wow! Love the detailed ROPS and the headlights, neat work too. That winch must weigh a ton or two by itself, a nice addition
  13. Yeah, you nailed it! Love the photos against that backdrop!
  14. Never see one upside down, amazing how you caught every detail and then weathered them all so realistically!
  15. A whole lotta progress made, and the added turn signals are a nice detail. The flag grille too! Like love, it's better the second time around, I guess! (The door fit, I mean, perfect)
  16. Looking like something now it's in primer and on wheels! Good match between the two elements, and neat work on the bumper too
  17. Enjoying the research! Found this, it's 1965 again! Newer cab, same livery
  18. Looks good already! It'll be fun making the tanks/steps and even the dash, provided you have some good reference material, like a Bodybuilder book or straight on photos. I enjoyed it when I had to do it, a challenge is always good, though I think you've got the skills already and then some I have to add that this Purplewave website is great for reference photos... https://www.purplewave.com/auction/230823/item/DM2584/1965-International-Loadstar_1600-Ag_Trucks-Grain_Truck-Kansas

  20. And it came to me from West London by Royal Mail!
  21. The body's great, but interior has gaps and poorly-fitting side panels so it's hard to get the proper fit. There is no separate engine, just a top plate that you add parts to, but I opened it and the chassis up so you can see through it and I'm satisfied. I like that kind of plastic whittling anyway The tires are kinda square-edged so I tried to round them off and I shortened the mounting pins on the back of the wheels so they don't stick out so much too Thanks for the comments!
  22. Finally finished one from the old stash! I had to re-do the paint after there was a reaction with the plastic even after Duplicolor primer, sigh
  23. These Quickbuild kits have Lego-like pieces, but when assembled do not look like Lego builds! I had plans to build one in 1/25, but this one scales out at 1/37 scale by my math. An afternoon's work, the stickers are the hardest part
