  1. So nice to see continuous progress on the scratchbuild! Sure there are setbacks but they are leading to big improvements in quality, my compliments to your persistence. l like your efforts at the grille, it may take a few tries but the unique shape is a great detail on this one It's gonna be stunning!
  2. I've been known to rip them apart when they don't look right, but a fresh start gives a chance to fix any issues, make improvements and refine assembly details. And they don't wind up cobbled together and full of filler I applaud your courage! Great idea for the windshield too, using brass sheet

  4. Nice job so far! I really like that kit, so glad you decided to build and show it off!
  5. Nice job on the painting and details! So nice to see one all done up right, they make many versions, all tiny, LOL!
  6. My compliments on a very realistic model! Amazing workmanship on the stakebed and the effective weathering on the cab and body! You have some great woodworking skills!

Group 25 presents their Model Car and Slot Car Flea Market on March 3, 2024 at the Franklin Horner Community Centre, 432 Horner Avenue, between Browns Line and Kipling Avenue, Toronto (Etobicoke), approximately 1 mile south of the QEW. Take Highway 427 South which turns into Browns Line, continue South on Browns Line (about 1 mile) to Horner Avenue, East on Horner Avenue to 432 Horner Avenue (North side). Parking at rear. Cafeteria food cooked fresh on site all day! More info at: http://www.group25.org
  8. Yes, CNTL, I see them on the highway all the time. The Ford is supposed to be a companion service truck to the Volvo VN 670 I just checked, the Revell Ford Lightning kit I have (two) is a standard cab like yours, I just need some inspiration for something a little different
  9. Great job! So nice to see somebody else give these kits and this generation of pickups some love! I have a Lightning version to do as well, looking for ideas like this, so thanks!
  10. Wow, looks awesome! Real wood ladders, parts and miniature hoses, all lightly weathered, some real modeling in evidence! Reminds me of an old Imex diecast flatbox kit I made years ago and dug out to show at the Group 25 club meeting in November, a 1953 Ford though
  11. It's beautiful! Looked at my Entex issue, one of the better molded ones I think, but still a LOT of sanding needed to remove the seam lines and align the body panels as best one can. My compliments on dealing with the challenges and coming up with a stunning replica!
  12. Looks like you hit 110% to me! Love the realistic weathering and variety of textures under the cab, and then there's the pretty parts up top, that striking colour and graphics of this livery, congratulations!
  13. Looks great, very realistic frame and support details, constructed just like the real thing! You have great references and a LOT of patience!
  14. Wow, you're a master at shaping that Evergreen tubing! Those window trim and detail corners are perfect! So many other upgraded parts as well, coming along spectacularly!
  15. Nice detailing on the vent, and the muffler mounts too. It all looks so good in living colour, with contrasting chrome trim. Just realized how long this chassis is gonna be in these pics!
  16. Love the paint scheme, neatly done, too! The beefy tires look great on it, so right!
  17. Wow, the paintwork really pretties it up! Love the curves on the front, and the diamond plate steps as an accent, very good looking rig so far!
  18. Very neatly done, perfect paint and assembly, very impressive! This kit has the lettering for the hood
  19. Combined with a NNL Display in a separate room, so bring some of your work to show off!
  20. A really well done video! Front, back and engine on most subjects, thank you so much for the detailed coverage!
  21. Clever trick for mounting the door windows, adjustable even! What's next, window winders, LOL They says Future's the thing for making widows disappear so it's worth a try. I heard PetG was the best plastic but new shirt collar plastic always seemed to work out better for me, with gentle spot heating with a heat gun over a metal cylinder for a simple bend rather than vacuforming and full heat, the plastic gets too hot and starts to flow and conform to the buck's imperfections, maybe it needs a mirror finish Very nice to see such progress, a fast pace with no sacrifice in quality! No big mistakes and do-overs like some of us!
  22. Excellent work on the Range Rover, a classic beauty! I love seeing this pair together, they really compliment each other in style and colour too! My compliments on your fine workmanship on both!
  23. Bare Metal Foil used to be our go-to, now it's fallen out of favour, not sure why though. it sure is easy to apply on a straight edged surface
