I also am very impressed with the beautiful paint job on this '61. It must have taken a long time considering time between coats and colors. I hope you don't mind but I have saved these pictures to use as inspiration sometime later when I get ambitious enough to tray and tackle something so grand. I think I have a '63 Impala that something like this would be great on. This really is what a custom lowrider should look like (in my opinion). Great job Chad.? Jim

Thanks to all for the positive feedback. I didn't actually paint the flames by hand but I did draw and cut the stencils for them. Thanks to all that thanked me for my service in the Navy. I spent 22 years there and do not regret a thing. Also thank you to Peter, Zippi and any others of you who served in the military. Thanks again for looking. Jim

Another Chevrolet! Built this a while back. Pearl White with red flames (don't remember the exact color) all acrylic craft paints. Cut the mask for the flames by hand (not an easy task). No wiring on this one, just wanted to show off the paint. Everything out of the box. Thanks for looking. Jim

An old Revell kit. Another attempt at wiring. I think it turned out okay. All parts out of the box, nothing special. Painted same as box art. No flames this time.? Thanks for looking. Jim

Thank you all for the compliments. It means a lot to me to receive such positive comments about my models from all of you. In the short time I've been on this forum, I have seen nothing but outstanding model builds. As a member of one of a former model club in my area (Foothills Plastic Pros), I see a lot of real winners on this forum. I was a judge at many of our shows and I can tell you that if I was judging the cars I see here, I would have an extremely difficult task to find the best. I am learning a lot from all of you also. Isn't that what it's all about, never stop learning? Jim

Another "non-Chevy" from my collection. This is probably the most recent completed build of mine (about 3 years ago). Acrylic craft paint. I mixed in a little brown to the orange to make the darker color for some contrast. I was going for ghost flames on this one but they are not nearly as subtle as the '63 Impala. All parts out of the box, I downloaded and printed the decals on waterslide decal paper. This is one of my favorites. Thanks for looking.? Jim

I thought I'd post something other than a Chevy for a change of pace. This was my second attempt at lining the flames. Not a lot better than the '56 Bel Air. Again, these are acrylic craft paints. Nothing special here, all parts came out of the box for this model. It's mostly about the exterior paint. A little bit of flocking in the interior along with the Nitrous bottles and sound system amps. All-in-all, it came out okay, in my opinion. Thanks for looking. Jim

I have more pictures of built models that I will share in the future. Really nice build. I have several colors of that extreme sheen paint and am going to try it on something. I have used it on ceramic projects before but not plastic models, YET. Great color, really great detail inside and out.? Jim
