First build of 2024. This was a Christmas gift from my daughter, THANKS!!! The Monogram Paddy Wagon, one of my all-time favorite kits from the past. Exactly one month to get this together. Built this when I was a kid back in 1971. This time she got the details she deserves!!! Here are the details of this build. Painted decanted Testors Deja Blue Lacquer and chrome stripped and painted Alclad Pale Gold. Added gas tank and Gofer woodgrain decals in back and cab. Engine has VCG Resins coil, Iceman Collections Carter Carbs on the crossram, fuel pump, and oil filter. Detail Masters spark plug wires, wire looms and fittings. Protech fuel lines, and throttle linkage. Detail Masters throttle, brake and clutch pedals, and a police radio from an AMT police car. Headlight inner decals from STS. Pegasus rear disc brakes, and valve stems added to the wheels. I loved this kit and pretty much all Tom Daniel models. Off to another year of cool hotrods! Enjoy.

2023 was a great year for my car builds. My railroad layout was a bit neglected. Here are the 20 builds in 12 months. My best year ever!!! (Since the 70’s) Happy new years!

It’s from VCG Resins. 3d printed

VCG Resins by Reese makes the rear end. I believe it will be sold separately soon. Details on it are incredible.

Saw that video. I ran AMXs back in the early 80’s. Always liked the SC/Ramblers

Finished. 1969 JoHan AMC SC/Rambler. This is done in the rare B Scheme paint job. Lots of extras on this build. I was lucky to buy many back in the early 80’s and stash them for retirement. Here is one of my builds, 74 AMX SCCA race car

Just a easy fun 2 week build. The Monopoly Willys car. How it has that 70’s Zinger Show Car feel to it. Changed the rear tires to Section 8 Hobbies 3D printed wrinkle walls. Paint is Mission Models Tropical Pearl Orange with their clear coat. Wired the engine for a bit more detail. Now back to hot rods, drag and muscle cars. Enjoy!

Lil Red Baron Hot Rod is done. Fun quick build. Body seams filled and smoothed. Metallic red lacquer and Alclad chrome. Wheel backs added and interior gauges added. Matches up nice with the bigger one completed last year. Enjoy.

I have a few of those too. Tom Daniel was a genius!

Just a quick (9 days) Halloween build. I had to give this 1/32 T’Rantula the extra attention to make a nice match for the other T’Rantulas in my collection. The paint is candy lime lacquer with Tamiya clear. Red fuzz interior, wired engine and all the chrome done in Alclad. Decals are vintage first generation T’Rantula that I have been saving for years. A bit yellowed, but gave them life on a deserving build. All the body seams were filled and smoothed. Here she is sitting with her big sister. I’ve loved Tom Daniel kits since the 70’s. Still a blast to build!!! Happy Halloween!

1959 Cadillac Hot Rod Hearse is done and in the case, in time for Halloween! Color is Candy Plum Crazy over black base, and top is black graphite. Went the de-chrome look. It’s lowered 3/8” front and back, Chrysler Concorde Slammer rims and tires. VCG Resins disc brakes and skull shifter. Resin curtains from 3” Under. Coffin is a reworked Munsters Dragula body. Happy Halloween!

It’s a separate hood scoop i super glued on. Lots of sanding and filling to smooth it out.

1964 Ford Galaxie is done! This is a replica of the ‘64 Al Maroone Ford Dealer Drag AA/S from here in Buffalo NY. Started as an AMT promo kit, added teardrop hood, correct steel wheels with correct slicks. Interior has seat belts, tachometer on steering column and light weight seat frames added. Paint is Wimbledon white and all the chrome is Bare Metal Foil. Decals are from Jim Heller Decals. She is done and in the display case.

Quick fun build. Tom Daniel’s Hemi Semi. I built this back in ‘71. That one was lost to time. I found this one as a pretty good previous build, but into the stripper, and re-built. Loved the wacky character kits from the 70’s! It’s done and on the shelf…

They are extras from an old AMT Willy's gasser build
-
65 Ford Falcon AFX drag car is done! Just under 3 months to complete (Summer slows the builds). Lots of extra work on the old kit. Moved the axle forward 3/8”, completely tubbed the interior. Hemi Dart rollcage, seat belts, fire extinguisher. Rims and tires of another gasser, Competition Resins full teardrop hood and electric fan. Correct Ford scammer valve covers. Texas 3d brake drums. And amazing detail parts from Josh at VCG Resins! Shifter, brake booster, and the cool Moon tank on the grill. Deep blue lacquer with custom decals. Done and on the shelf!

Love your Wagon. Ran a few Falcons back in the 80’s

All done, and on the case. 1929 AMT Model A pickup on a channeled Revell Model A chassis. Competition Resins Ardun Flathead motor with SCOT blower. Tamiya Candy Lime Lacquer paint. VCG Resins Headers, Grenade shifter and super cool Grokon cab lights as tail lights. Iceman distributor and Pro-tech wiring. Fun little hot rod with a throw back to the glory days!
-
I do remember those tires in the early 70's. I believe they were made by Dragmaster. Friend had them on his t bucket

All done. 1929 AMT Model A Woody Surf wagon. Lots of extras. Lowered, VCG Resins wheels, tires, disc brakes and Flathead headers. Iceman Collections distributor and Flathead valve covers. Detail Masters Beehive oil filter and wiring. And a bunch of other things I’m probably forgetting some extras. One of my favorite builds so far. Super cool old hot rod!
