Whats the most tooled car ?

There were also at least three in 1/28 - LS, Eidai Grip and Nichimo. Ironically, I don't own a single Countach kit. -
Whats the most tooled car ?
Junkman replied to 57peppershaker's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I'm pretty sure there were more different Countach kits as all 32 Ford, Tri Chevy, Camaro and Mustang kits combined. -

I'd say it's some Fiat, like the Lamborghini Countach or sum such. -
Errrr... what's that?
-
Nope.

Just reading 'Don't Start The Revolution Without Me' by Jesse Ventura. Just finished 'The New Thought Police' by Tammy Bruce and Gerhard Wisnewski's investigation of the Jörg Haider assassination. As far as automotive literature goes, my most read book lately is the Rover 3500 workshop manual, and I'm three issues in arrears with Collectible Automobile Magazine.

found my holy grail model!

It must be an AFD Joke. Nobody with half a brain would miss out on a Pocher for 90$. -

I just checked the calendar... -
I have my tentacles out on an ex-Leyland press demonstrator here in England. They wanted to market them over here, but the idea was ultimately nixed, because Leyland decided not to give the well established Jaguars in-house competition in this market segment. It is an executive with the 4.4 litre V8 and believed to be the last remaining of five press cars. It changed hands several times in the past 5 or so years, with every owner carrying out some work on the car. For the moment, I lost track of it, but I'm sure it will resurface sooner or later. And I'm convinced my name is written on it somewhere. Btw, there is also a Force 7 in the country, which was used by Lord Stokes himself.

With an MPC Corvette body to show you the size: All doors and lids open. Even the sliding side door is functional. The underpinnings are nothing to write home about: Apart from the primitive chassis and toyish wheels, it's a very nicely done and plausible base with enormous potential.

"No side view mirrors?"
Junkman replied to modelmike's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Gosh, them things were everywhere back then. Either in this grey, or 'harvest gold' which looked like baby poo. You would be hard pressed to find one nowadays. -
Did they ever make...

The only one I know is the Hasegawa RA272 from the mid Sixties. -
I just built this: and this: Then I got this: and built it into this:

If I ever buy another private car, it will be one of these.

Building Original Issue Kits vs. Reissued Kits?
Junkman replied to Casey's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
It's all about value and availabilty for me. If a reissue is available at all, I will always opt for the reissue to build. However, with what I have in mind to build, I can usually wait for reissues being issued until the cows come home. That is, unless I finally decide to start building that pristine, pricelss original, thereby ruining its value into the middle of next week. There isn't yet a better method to trigger a reissue. In may cases, instead of ruining the value of a pristine original of which no reissue exists, I rather opt for a 'builder'. A quite popular variant, which is sadly missing from the poll. -
"No side view mirrors?"
Junkman replied to modelmike's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Interesting. In the UK, it took until 1976 until wing mirrors (Brit for outside rear view mirrors) became compulsory. This doesn't mean cars didn't have them before that (with few exceptions), since anybody with half a brain would have had them fitted, but they weren't required and usually cost extra. If you look at British pre-1976 sales brochures, cars are often pictured without them.
