End of the Soviet Union was quite a psychological shift in my reality as a young adult.

The same type of people that set cats on fire, throw puppies off of buildings, etc. A special ring of hell...just saying.

"Better, better bring me a bucket" was one of my favorite lines from any Monty Python film or sketch.

Went out for a bit. A band my wife loves was playing at the 40th Birthday of McMenamins, a local pub "chain". Garcia Birthday Band...my wife was a serious deadhead in the mid-to-late 80s. First time she's honestly smiled since she found out about her son passing. That alone makes me happy!

Late September we're flying in to Nashville to drive down to Huntsville to see my wife's youngest daughter. Looking around I saw that Third Man Records in Nashville does tours on Friday only and just a few blocks away is The Johnny Cash Museum. I mentioned to my wife we could spend a couple days in Nashville before we fly home on Sunday. She said she'd talk to her daughter about it but she didn't see why not. Well, her daughter said she couldn't get the time off, so "No". My wife pointed out that I take all of our vacations around visiting my wife's family and have for years...and for once we were spending a couple of days doing something I wanted... She never stops surprising me. Maybe we'll hit The Patsy Cline Museum too.

Used to have one of these for the AMT 49 Mercury. Revell's 49 came out right before I had to get rid of everything, I loved the options but I liked AMT's lines better. I'd love to see a piece like this again. -
Helmet is a pretty decent Band from New York City.

"Band of Gypsys" was a cool live album by Jimi Hendrix recorded at the Fillmore East.

Listening to this again, Benjamin Booker Live at Third Man Records. He only has a few albums and Third Man Records has a great collection of Live performances straight to acetate. Anyway a mix of blues, garage band...

Thread, didn't that used to be used as spark plug wire on models cars back in the day?

Rat Fink! 'Nuff said.

Very nice. After the 1st generation, probably my favorite Mustang.

Continuing the drama between Marmalade and Lilac last night. My wife brought the blanket down for Lilac and so Marmalade pushed her mostly off of it. Then he snuggled in next to her as she ignored him. Thankfully this is the primary source of drama in my household. The rest of the drama we experience is mostly the dumpster fires caused by family elsewhere.

The funny thing about this photo is that Marmalade is laying on the blanket. Lilac (the pug) loves pulling the blanket down and sleeping on it. These two are always at each other but it seems most of the time Marmalade instigates things...

That's what I'm used to and I like the look...though the mechanics are definitely dubious. That's the problem with internet research, you cant always see exactly what you want to see. Why i appreciate the knowledge available here. -

So, does the tubular straight axle connect directly to the frame, suicide style or do you add the springs and the spring mounting blocks and connect it "stock" style?
