  1. This is looking great. I re-read your post about the engine, using snaps for the pullys was an ingenious touch.
  2. I love the Revell 32 rails and that the floor boards are separate. I can even deal with the suspension issues...though why the new roadster seems to go back to the rear suspension bagged I'll never understand. But to backdating the chassis what Plastistruct/ Evergreen can you use to build new crossmembers? A how to? I can't afford buying 40 Standard coupes every time I want to do a 50s or 60s style 32. Thank you. Charles
  3. Thank you sir! I'm looking forward to getting this for some of the parts. Kinda bummed that their aren't more options... Charles

  5. I saw those! Those were put out by a guy doing business under "Gasser Models". Found reference to him here in a post several years back. When you get ahold of your friend, ask about Mark Brown for me...
  6. Anyone able to post the instruction sheet? Thanks!!!

  8. Exactly, no easy answer. I do love that, with the track nose, great job making the hood...
  9. They weren't just Bonneville decals but a few years mixed with speed equipment decals from the 50s and 60s. I don't remember the manufacturer but I had bought them from the same vendor off Ebay, unfortunately I don't have access to the ebay account that I had over a decade ago and someone from Straight Line Modeler had turned me on to them. Again, unfortunately Straight Line Modeler is just on Facebook these days and I refuse to do Facebook.
  10. Exactly why I was wondering about the correct chop. Seems like 4" might work best.
  11. Exactly what I'm attempting to do, just in a scale that I can afford. I know it's "just" plastic and therefore it's "close enough for rock 'n' roll" but I am somewhat ADD and though I can't justify counting every single bolt, I so want my builds to be realistic as if they were 1:1... whether I'm looking at another Era or if I'm just doing a contemporary Traditional build. That's just me. Crazy as my wife will tell you. Charles
  12. Doing a lil more research, a 29 Ford grill shell is either 27.5" or 29" in height and a 32 Ford grill shell is 32" in height. So anywhere from the 2" chop to 6" chop would work depending on how I place the grill. Never an easy answer.
  13. Hi-boy, I thought I saw a 2" chopped grill, I'm working on an order for RMoM, guess it's getting bigger now.
  14. That's maybe the 40 LaSalle grill and not the 38?
  15. LaSalle grill? I love those on custom 36's.
  16. To use a 32 grill with this, what amount of "chop" would be necessary if you didn't want to just lower the grill up front? I know Model Car Garage has both 4" and 6" available. Thanks Charles
  17. Looking forward to this, a great project! Loved Stumptown, yep, mostly filmed in LA, some shots in Portland to set it around some iconic images...canceled because of Covid, dumb, other shows continued. Did this get finished?
  18. Exactly, the event decals. https://www.mooneyesusa.com/Nostalgic-Auto-Hot-Rod-Racing-Stickers-Decals-s/94.htm
  19. Found the wip post on this. Very cool, still loving it. Quick question, where did you source the seats from? Charles
  20. Okay, found an old thread about "Gasser Models" from 2015 who the image I posted was from but evidently he's no longer around. I still cannot remember who made the initial decal sheets I was remembering. Slixx has a few that are close but the majority are more late 60s thru early 70s. Still, after several weeks of Google searches I cannot find ANY Bonneville Salt Flats/ Speed Week decals in 1/25. Though Mooneyes has them available in 1:1 and if I could afford models in that scale... I don't have a printer to do my own decals, so any leads on someone who can help? I can't believe I'm the only one interested in this topic. Charles
  21. Still wondering about old Bonneville Speed Week decals in 1/25 as well as 50's speed equipment decals. I know they were available when I got rid of everything 12+ years ago... I had 3 different sheets back then but I can't remember the manufacturer. I did find this online but not sure who had made them. Not exactly what I had in mind but getting closer.
  22. https://www.futurattraction.com/index.html Anybody dealt with them? Lots of cool drag parts available. Later than my own interests but appear very detailed.
  23. Duh, blew up the photos and saw "Ardun". Again, just beautiful! I'd drive it.
