Calb56 replied to Calb56's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I forgot about Fred...and it's cool to see a member of "Official Model Car List Webring" again. Man, that brings back memories. -

Congrats!!! Mine is either March or May 24th, '90. At least I remember most of that year

One of my favorite shows and the main reason I subscribed to Hulu, because I heard a year before they got it that they were going to stream all seasons after it was pulled from Netflix.

Color me stupid. I'm sorry to hear that. I heard he did beautiful work!
-
Beautiful! The small details definitely add to the look. Just Beautiful.

I remember his stuff from when I was modeling before about 12+ years, I take it he's done?

If you're using your phone and you move it sideways it'll do that. Just reload the page and it does back to normal.

Best Online Hobby Shop?
Calb56 replied to Calb56's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Thanks for letting me know about Spotlight Hobbies. Prices of everything is so high now but I checked them out and they seem fair. I've gotten a lot of good leads period though. A lot are sure better than EBAY prices!!! Charles -
Okay, very limited supply of actual shops in my area, so besides the sellers on ebay which online suppliers do you suggest? (How was that for a run-on sentence?) Interested in who has good selection; prices; decent shipping cost? Thank you. Charles

What would YOU like to see as a model
Calb56 replied to JeroenM3's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
And how about a Revell Custom Car Parts revival? Hot Rod Mills: caddy, flathead, nailhead, y-block with various speed parts. Gasser Mills: early hemi, 409, sbc with blowers, fender headers and at least one "lifted" front end Take it from kits from the last 20 years... -

45-60 plus 15-16 shipping. Only 2 right now but too rich for my blood. Yeah. At least a fastback would be cool. -

Revell 32 Ford Roadster REVISED (former Rat Roaster tool)
Calb56 replied to Mr. Metallic's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Okay, it's staying with modern engines, I understand. What I don't understand is with all the recent kits, why Revell has stopped producing them, leaving it for the secondary markets? Also have the 32 3-window, 5-window, sedan. The 31 Ford, 57 Fords, 48 Ford, 49 Mercury, 57 "Black Widow" 150, 50 Olds... Not asking for anything new, just make some of your newer kits available again. -
I think they're the same, still waiting to get the coupe. Wanting to retro one to the 29 roadster...
-
Wanting to use one in a 32 build. Best one with Thunderbird covers? Just curious.

I thought of this when the Queen died. I know it's not respectful but I always thought of her back in the 80s when I listened to the original. I suppose it's okay since Lemmy past first. Motörhead bringing you... "God Save The Queen".

My mom's who just turned 80 told me around her 70th birthday she still felt 16vbut her body didn't... and now that I'm staring at 60 coming up, I still look back and wonder where the last 30-35 years went. Good for you man! Getting old is NOT for the weak! Charles

I love old Hudson's, it's cool to see something different available from the 50s. So much available then and each one so different. Nice build! Charles
