  1. Okay, found an old thread about "Gasser Models" from 2015 who the image I posted was from but evidently he's no longer around. I still cannot remember who made the initial decal sheets I was remembering. Slixx has a few that are close but the majority are more late 60s thru early 70s. Still, after several weeks of Google searches I cannot find ANY Bonneville Salt Flats/ Speed Week decals in 1/25. Though Mooneyes has them available in 1:1 and if I could afford models in that scale... I don't have a printer to do my own decals, so any leads on someone who can help? I can't believe I'm the only one interested in this topic. Charles
  2. Still wondering about old Bonneville Speed Week decals in 1/25 as well as 50's speed equipment decals. I know they were available when I got rid of everything 12+ years ago... I had 3 different sheets back then but I can't remember the manufacturer. I did find this online but not sure who had made them. Not exactly what I had in mind but getting closer.
  3. https://www.futurattraction.com/index.html Anybody dealt with them? Lots of cool drag parts available. Later than my own interests but appear very detailed.
  4. Duh, blew up the photos and saw "Ardun". Again, just beautiful! I'd drive it.
  5. Very nice. Great stance. Hemi, not Ardun right?
  6. Info on applying old decals is cool but still interested on the manufacturer or any manufacturer of old Bonneville Speed Decals. Not certain why this got moved??? Thank you.
  7. Will need to try that, I have some old Fred Cady decals myself. What type of decal saver?
  8. Before I had to get rid of everything 12+ years ago, because of life, I had a couple contingency sheets of decals. They were older speed equipment decals and Bonneville Speed Trials decals from the 50s and 60s. Also SCTA, etc. I can't remember who made them and my Google searches haven't brought up anything. I usually have good luck with searching... I was hoping someone had an idea of who made them or if there's anything similar. Looking for them for a couple period builds, especially the Bonneville decals. Thanks. Charles
  9. Purchased the chassis speed equipment from them directly. Has anyone gotten this? Also, says the instructions are emailed? Charles
  10. I love Sleepers. This one is great.
  11. Seen recently...
  12. This is perfect too. This and Lacy's Nailhead 29. Man, just starting out you guys make it kinda intimidating.
  13. How about the exhaust? Haven't found the full exhaust available but did find this... https://www.shapeways.com/product/XHJPENDGW/vw-stinger-1-25-exhaust?optionId=64176966&li=shops
  14. Love your blue one. Very clean and the Mexican blanket is honestly one of the best I've seen.
  15. Really digging that engine.
  16. See, the nailhead with the tri-carb set up was exactly what I was hoping for... speaking of reading the room: the nailhead, y-block or even a Caddy and having a Halibrand or Winters quick change or Columbia rear end would be nice. It would be nice to be able to build a period rod without having to spend so much on multiple kits or aftermarket.
  17. Ran into this searching for info on Nailheads. Perfect work. A lot of my main interest is in the early hot rodding. Stuff like you find in the Don Montgomery books... Well done. Charles
  18. My parents were friends with a couple who owned that exact car except for the wheels. We had an used 74 Buick Apollo but I always thought that Caprice Classic was much cooler. Man...1976 seems like another lifetime. Charles
  19. This is looking great. Cool to see that it's becoming a reality! Charles
  20. Thank you to Ed Fluck. Beautiful... I'm getting closer to getting my first project started. A quick comparison to stock ?
  21. Lol... so I bought the wrong kit. ? That figures...
  22. I got one of these cuz I kept reading about how it had a great nailhead in it. Looking at the instruction sheet, the exhaust looks like the engine is a blown sbc and not a nailhead. I know I'm late to the party here but did I miss something?
  23. The details on both the engine and wheels are amazing. "It's the little things"
  24. I'm glad you reposted photos. That's a very ("very" used in place of an expletive) nice Tahoe!
