    68 Firebird

G'day all, Here I have my version of the Revell Foose 68 Pontiac Firebird. Built back in July of 2019. Box stock except for a lowered stance. I made a few embarrassing mistakes on this one, first is no brake callipers. Second is the addition of the kit's steering column mounted tachometer which is unnecessary as it has a hood mounted tachometer and finally I put the clock decal on the tachometer and visa versa. Paint is Tamiya ts14 gloss black and ts46 light sand for the interior. Thanks for looking and all feedback is welcome and appreciated. Cheers, David. πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘
  3. This is my favourite AMI assembled offering, built between 1968 and 1972. Only 258 were sold over 4 years. Your scale example looks great Michelle, well done.
  4. Cool street freak there Eric, I remember building this kit many decades ago. Well done.
  5. Sinister! Well done Kaci.
  6. Your kit is a 1983 release and well done Barry on your perseverance in completing it.
  7. You had alot of fun with this one Andy, really well done.
  8. This build really stands out for me, I love it. Well done Phil.
  9. That cinnamon colour looks great and the stance really suits it. Well done Jim.
  10. Welcome back Kaci, I hope your move went well. Your Evo tuner looks great in that colour. Well done.
  11. Very cool hotrod ute, that pearl yellow looks great. Well done Claude.
  12. Nice E-55 there Michelle, looks great with that aggressive stance. Well done. The 70 Cuda 426 Hemi did a 13.1 quarter mile time while the Valiant Charger E-49 did it in 14.4, not bad for an Inline 6.

  14. No one here on this sight judges you, just keep on building your way and enjoy. I'm looking forward to seeing what you build next.πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘
  15. Very cool Charger there Michelle, it reminds me of my Valiant Charger. I don't recall ever seeing this show but at that age (6-7yrs) I wasn't aloud to watch those type of programs. Well done on your 3d model.
  16. Cool Plymouth there Brian, I also had issues with an ill fitting hood on my 68 Shelby with the 427 sohc engine, which was remedied with a parts box scoop. For me half the fun is finding ways to make things fit. Well done on an interesting build.

    Uncertain T

    Nice work Bob, looks great.
  18. It can be quite annoying when builds don't turn out the way you envisioned. I have quite a few in boxes, relegated to the rebuild queue. Your Boss Mustang has some great details and I would be interested to see how your second attempt turns out.
  19. Cool 34 there Bob, I have the latest version in my stash. Colour looks great, well done.
  20. Very cool old school hotrod. This is how they built them, with what ever was at hand. Great detail, I especially like your clutch, brake and throttle set-up. Really well done Jon.
  21. Great colour choices on your roadster there Andrew and your smoke treatment looks great. Really well done.
  22. You ticked all the right boxes with this original style pickup. Well done Andrew.
  23. Cool 32 there James, I'll definitely be getting one of those to add to my stash. Well done.
  24. Nice Sheriff's car there Grzegorz, we had these Rebel Matadors here in Australia. RIght hand drive. Well done.
  25. Nice T-Bird Michelle, well done.
