Finally complete. See under glass.

Started with the AMT ‘59 Cadillac Ambulance kit. I cut 3/4” out of the body and chassis. I cut out the rear wheel wells to give it a hot rod look. I applied styrene to the rear windows to make it a panel. Lots of putty and sanding. This kit is a curb side, no engine. I tried to paint it purple with spider webs but it was a disaster so I sanded it down and went with a single color. I decided against decals.

Masked it, sprayed purple, unmasked. Didn’t turn out like I imagined. Think I’ll sand it down and try again with a solid color. I’ll leave spider webs to the spiders. 🕷️

Third round of putty/sanding/primer is complete. Still some imperfections but good enough for me. A coat of matte black and now I’ll have to wait a few days before applying tape and another color.
