Second round of putty/sanding/primer is complete. Glued on the fins. Still needs a few putty touch ups.

First round of putty and sanding completed. A light coat of primer shows me the spots that need a redo. However, the vigorous sanding seemed to have activated my kidney stones, been out of commission for a week.

Finally got some warm weather. Filed the rough edges, cut the interior tub and glass, glued in the rear section of glass, glued the body together and the chassis, glued styrene onto the glass to give it a panel look… next step, putty.

Nice work on the shiny paint and chrome trim.

Dusty’s Trail, starred Bob Denver and Six others in a complete rip off of Gilligans Island, set in the 1800’s , they were separated from a wagon train, had a leader, millionaire couple, the whole Gilligan theme, ran one season in syndication, early 70’s.

Real nice, both builds. -
Thank you Carl, I’m home now and it appears the stones have finally made it to the bladder…took 4 months. I appreciate the kind words.

Thanks, they don’t seem to have this hubcap, but I sent an email asking for something similar.

Looking for a set of late 60’s Chevrolet hubcaps. It’s for a police car, they don’t have to be accurate. Just approximately the same size as the picture below.

For a kit you called “the worst” , you certainly built a masterpiece, you’re Mom would be proud!

Not sure yet Maybe gasser, maybe hot rod.

First build of the year, I’m taking the AMT 59 Cadillac Ambulance kit and converting it into a Nomad. Lots of cutting, sanding and puttying. First time trying to modify a kit this drastically. I opened the wheel wells to fit larger tires, I then cut approximately 3/4” out of the body and chassis. It came out pretty straight. I’ll have to wait until the weather gets a little warmer to start the putty and sanding.
