What size?

Thanks, they don’t seem to have this hubcap, but I sent an email asking for something similar.

Looking for a set of late 60’s Chevrolet hubcaps. It’s for a police car, they don’t have to be accurate. Just approximately the same size as the picture below.

For a kit you called “the worst” , you certainly built a masterpiece, you’re Mom would be proud!

First build of the year, I’m taking the AMT 59 Cadillac Ambulance kit and converting it into a Nomad. Lots of cutting, sanding and puttying. First time trying to modify a kit this drastically. I opened the wheel wells to fit larger tires, I then cut approximately 3/4” out of the body and chassis. It came out pretty straight. I’ll have to wait until the weather gets a little warmer to start the putty and sanding.

Comparison between Tamiya and Rustoleum
Horrorshow replied to bobthehobbyguy's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I used to use nothing but Rustoleum. The cans were large and it was cheap, I used them for years but I started having issues. Black primer would end up dusty, some paints would shoot out a clump of paint, the last can I bought last spring had a terrible oil smell, since then nothing but Tamiya. -
Thanks to everyone who provided advice, tips, lessons, safety alerts and spelling corrections. My project involves cutting the entire chassis and body, therefore I decided to forget the Dremel and use the saw. Thanks again everyone!

Spring is near and I’m tackling an ambitious project involving major cuts to the body and chassis. I have recently purchased a saw and a Dremel. Would appreciate some tips to using these tools. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

What Are Some of Your Favourite Kits That You Built?
Horrorshow replied to Falcon Ranchero's topic in Model Cars
My favorite kit is this early 2000’s Revell NASCAR. Fit was perfect. The chassis screwed into the body. The windshield came with the black trim and slipped right in. It was a Bill Elliot kit but a turned it into a Jimmy Spencer #7. These kits seem very rare and are quite pricey, but I highly recommend it for any NASCAR fan. -
Thanks for the shout out, car looks great. Converting to a convertible seems intimidating to me, but you pulled it off, great work!

I have four from the 1/25 Christine kit, the white walls are separate inserts

Really nice all around build.

Recently bought these aftermarket wheels and tires from Model Roundup. The chrome looks good, they are one piece, no wheel backs required. The front tires look too small to me and there is no white lettering on them. The rims do slide nicely into the tires. They seem to fit into most tires in my parts box, including the Firestone Drag 500 slicks.

I’ll check my stash in the morning -
This is a parts tree from Salvinos Monte Carlo. I believe it is the same as the 442. Also is #38. Look at the bottom right corner.

Buick Modified Stocker
Horrorshow replied to slusher's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
These are the wheels and tires I used. Bought from Mike’s Decals. There are several dirt tires the same size, Goodyear, Hoosier and McCreary. The M+H are the same size and are asphalt without tread. All Plastic Performance rims will fit these tires .
