  1. It still my be the same old kit but you have made it your own still loving the stacks and elbows and I have never seen flat quarter fenders before A+, oh and the Tom Cat on the mud flaps nice personal touch ?
  2. I did not realize how many hurdles I was going to have to clear by shortening the cab and going to a single exhaust system
  3. I still cannot believe how much work there is left to do
  4. Really like where you are going with that
  5. This is the first time building a 4070 kit it is a very clean kit little to no flashing, parts fit together well no warped parts and very detailed and so far quite a challenge and thanks for the compliments
  6. Thank You for sharing the info. Here are some pictures of how I sectioned the cab again thanks for the info
  7. Slowly starting to mock up the frame after removing 1” inch from the frame rails and removing the stack bracket mounts
  8. Glad to see you jumped in there is a lot of Cool builds going on can’t wait to see what you do with the 378
  9. The easy part is done, now the hard part short’n the frame rails remount the stack and air filter can, fuel tanks and replumb it all so it looks original
  10. I do have one question on studying this build there is no air breather going up the back of the cab I have been studying other 4070’s but can not find anything conclusive so my question is was there a breather box under the cab or mounted to the stack bracket or just a cap on the filter box(that would suck a lot of water and dirt)?
  11. I purchased the headache rack as well as the full fenders, pogo stick, visor, stacks, and 2 more cab’s since I didn’t like how the first one turned out. Do’s and Don’ts this build was a money pit but I still have not made it a donor yet
  12. Cool build brings back memories of riding in my uncles Chevy Titan back in the early 70’s
  13. Definitely better than the box?
  14. When I started building again in 2000 I built a couple stock builds and changed and added some small things. that is when I decided I wanted to do something completely different so I decided to build a double sleeper witch led to stretching the frame then more horsepower and a lot of other modifications and what a learning experience on what todo and what not todo this is the first time of posting my first custom build on this forum
  15. I really like where you are going with this I just hate the word bash I like salvage better because what we are all doing take’s a lot of thought and is art can’t wait to see what you come up with
  16. I just about have the interior complete still have some details to finish up on, now to concentrate on cleaning up the cab
  17. First off a good cut helps a lot my first shot at a custom cab I used a exacto knife it didn’t turn out so well then I discovered the saws a good clean cut a light even coat of glue put your halves together I don’t try to wipe off are smooth out excess glue I let it dry for 24 hours then sand it down and then I use the Vallejo plastic putty to fill in the light spots
  18. Well the domino effect begins (Murphy’s Law)
  19. I have a lot of work to do to smooth this up. Trying to keep this a low budget build
