  1. Really nice job, love the weathering, I'm old enough to get the Fernwood reference.
  2. Wow! Fantastic build and the color looks great. Been considering purchasing this kit for a while now, I think you closed the deal, I just hope I can do it justice as you have.
  3. great looking build, paint is just killer!
  4. I've had good results using a product called Shock It. It takes a bit longer than brake clean or oven cleaner but is much less harsh, doesn't have a bad smell and isn't corrosive. My wife initially bought it on HSC or one of those home shopping clubs, I had an old Tamiya kit I painted about 20 years ago and figured I'd give it a try and was happily surprised by how well it worked. I've since been able to find it on Amazon
  5. Thanks for the details on applying the decals Chuck. I'm looking forward to building this kit but I didn't realize the extent of the work involved applying the decals.
  6. Jeff, I think it's a great looking Bronco. I do agree with Sidney however about the wiring. I too prefer to do my own wiring and have found that .020 wire from Detail Master or other after market suppliers works great but I would suggest also using wire looms from Photo Tech. They come on a rubber backing which makes them easier to remove as opposed to the usual p.e parts that need to be cut from a tree and they make for a realistic look. They can be a little hard to find but are worth the effort, at least in my opinion . P.S I don't work for nor am I a distributor for Photo Tech, I just think they make good stuff.
  7. Great build, body work and paint look fantastic. This is what Ford should have done when they introduced the retro T-Bird back in the early 2000's
  8. Love it, never thought I'd see a replica of that car. Looks like a lot of work but man did it payoff.

  10. Hi Jim, nice build. I recently built this kit and also had an issue with the headlights, after some minor tweeking I got them to fit but found the doors to be the real main with this kit. Although they came out okay it looks like your fit is better.
  11. Wow Rich, you build some killer F-1 cars, just saw the Revell Red Bull kit you just posted. I have to find a couple of these to build, ( after some more practice).
  12. Great job Paul, that color really pops and the application is perfect.
  13. Really nice work, those pipes look fantastic.
  14. Hi all fellow modelers. My name is Dave Martin and as indicated I live in New Jersey, despite the out of control corruption in government and insane taxes I'm happy to live in a very nice part of the state, very close to the ocean all that goes with it. Due to career obligations and life in general I was out of the model building hobby for 25-30 years. While cleaning up the area above my garage following my retirement I decided to take the time to organize and catalog the stash of model cars, (70+) I had collected over a number of years. I initially considered posting and selling the models on line but decided to take a shot at building one or two to see if the old interest and more importantly skill was still there to enjoy the hobby after such a long break. I'm happy to say that I'm thrilled to be building again and have stretched by abilities beyond my previous level. My painting ability still needs a bit of work ( mostly bodies) but I'm improving with every new project as I had hoped. I would like to take a minute to thank the members who responded to a couple of my recent posts and to say how great it is to be part of this forum where ideas and information is shared with like minded individuals. PS, I recently attended the NNL east, this was the first time I had ever been to a model show/ swap meet and was really thrilled to see that the interest in our chosen hobby is alive and well and enjoyed attending more than I had anticipated. Looking forward to corresponding with many of you in the future. Dave
  15. okay, thank you for your response.
  16. I've been trying to complete my profile but can't seem to complete it. Due to my lack of computer knowledge it appears that I'm missing some required info that I'm not sure how to fill in. If someone could take a look at my account and provide some direction I would appreciate it. I've been able to post some questions in the past so it appears that my account is working.
