  1. Nice dune buggy. A guy at the company I work at also has a surfboard attached to the top of his dune buggy. He said he doesn't even surf. He put on the car for the look.
  2. Yesterday at the Goodguys car show/swap meet I bought a factory sealed Revell 1960 Impala coupe and a Lindberg Dodge "Little Red Wagon" for $10.00 each. The Impala will be converted to an El Camino and the Dodge will be a donor kit for Jimmy Flintstone's resin Dodge van body.
  3. Nice build. It has held up well after all this time. I have never seen a '62 Bel Air with Cragar wheels and it works really well with this model.
  4. Great camper build. Even after all these years this build is still the best use of the open road camper kit I have seen.

    55 Chevy

Cool '55 Chevy. The Cragars and thin whitewall tires are a nice choice.
  6. Sweet Impala. Well finished and built. I have this kit on my to do pile. I hope it comes out as nice as yours.
  7. That's a nice Cruze. I like it better than the Civic or Corolla.
  8. The only option on the '64 Impala is the windshield washer. It would have been nice to have power steering. It takes a lot of effort to steer the car with that big steering wheel. Maybe one day I will add power steering.
  9. I was thinking of taking out the six cylinder and dropping in a crate 350 V8 but it would be just another '64 Impala with a crate 350. The six cylinder makes it very unique. I rarely see 1960's six cylinder Impala coupes at car shows or in car magazines. I do plan on hopping up the motor because it's a lot of car for that motor.
  10. The 305 hp V-6 gives the car good acceleration. It's especially nice to have that power when getting on the freeway or driving on mountain roads. That's why I choose the V-6 over the 190 hp 4 cylinder Impala.
  11. It's been a long time since I posted pictures and today I tried and encountered the same issues as some of the people here. I use IE and tried the "compatibility view settings" on the IE tool bar and now I am able to post pictures. I just copy the URL from Photobucket and paste it directly where I want the pictures posted in the reply box with ctrl+v . Thanks for the help everyone.
  12. Here’s my 2014 Chevy Impala LT2 V-6 which I bought in December 2013. It replaced my 1999 Honda Civic HX coupe which was my daily driver for 14 years. The Honda’s transmission failed and the cost of repairs was more than the car was worth so it was time for a new car. I really liked the 2014 Impala when it came out and it also received many good reviews so I bought one. The 2014 Impala is an excellent car. It has plenty of power and a great ride. It’s good to see Chevy make an exciting Impala again. Here’s my 1964 Impala parked next to my 2014 Impala. I'm hoping to have the 1964 Impala restored within the next two years. The 1964 Impala has a 230 cubic inch inline six engine with a 3-speed manual transmission. Now I have two six-cylinder Impalas 50 years apart in design time.
  13. Nice mild custom pickup truck. I really dig the interior. Good job.
  14. Nice '55 Chevy. Well built and finished. I really like the paint combo. Who is your source for the paint?
  15. I was looking at buying a Trumpter '63 Chevy Nova on ebay but I did not want to pay the average price of $75.00 for that kit so I settled for an AMT '62 Chevy Nova glue bomb intending to rebuild it. When I finally received it I was surprised by how charming it was considering it was crudely built and painted. I am debating on whether to leave it as is or rebuild it. Considering the high price these kits go for I am probably going to rebuild it.
  16. Thanks for the link. I used to go the Grand National Roadster Show when it was in the San Francisco bay area. I want to check it out in L.A. but I got too lazy to drive down there. Maybe someday.
  17. Thanks for sharing!
  18. Excellent build. Well finished and detailed. Very good scratch building work.
  19. Definitely thank you to Drastic Plastic MCC for posting the instructions. Thanks to the link Frank.
  20. Cool little hot rod. Good use of spare parts!
  21. Very nice tail dragger. Even more impressive is that you finished it in 3 days.
  22. Sweet lowrider. I'm really diggin' the roof patterns and wheel/tire combo. Good job!
  23. My '64 Impala coupe was my daily driver from 1995-1999 until I realized that I didn't want to risk wrecking it in rush hour traffic so I got a Honda Civic to drive to work. The Impala has been regulated to a weekend car. Years later I realized how dangerous it is to drive a classic car during commute hours so not only was I saving my Impala from being wrecked I drastically improved my chances of surviving a major accident during the daily commute.
