My! Good job. My wife and I had one when we first married. It was a two door Gran Coupe. It looked much like that car but it was period perfect dark brown!
I am using the Micro Mesh sand paper series on the body. Starting with 3200 and ending up with 12000 grade. I will finish up with some more polishing compound and wax.
Good times. It is something we need to do as modelers keeping the interest alive. I have tried with my grandsons and even though they love cars they haven't really taken to the hobby.
Here are some updated photos. I am still working on getting the orange peel out of the body but it looks pretty good at this point. The chassis is coming along and I should be able to finish the chassis this week and start the bare metal foil etc.
