  1. Thanks!! LOTS of nice R&MCoMd. gear !
  2. NEVER had any problems with Fred's. I'm a multi-time customer. Great quality, fast service.
  3. MOST clubs i've belonged to have flea market in conjunction with the chatting & bench racing of a meeting. Nothing wrong with a little commerce/trading. Heck, the Toronto club I belonged to had about 30 members, and about 12 guys that would regularly bring a kit and tools/toolbox to work on during meetings. One guy brings a ring light magnifier and plugs in and works on stuff. Been thinking about doing this myself, but I cross the border from Canada to the US to the Downriver meetings....I don't want some US Border Agent thinking i'm a terrorist with a box of hobby tools though......
  4. Blessings and congratulations, George!
  5. I don't go back as far as THAT pricing, but I do recall model kits and supplies in most variety stores growing up.
  6. "Chili today....hot tamali."
  7. I've given up on an early 60's Chevy Panel truck......
  8. George is a pinball careening off the bumpers at a meeting....i'll bet he's not able to sit still LONG enough to even TAKE a picture....let alone POST said pics.
  9. Guys, I bought just parts. No Holden THIS time. I went PayPal, so they invoiced me completely. Add up an order, as it IS $12 US$ shipping from Australia. Will bring parts to my next meeting.
  10. I just found this thread. I'll get you back....someday, George !! P.S..... Thanks.
  11. They sure do ship to us up here. I have an order in right now.
  12. ED, My story from The Alexander Brothers. Larry Alexander is in our Club, the Downriver Model Car Club in Dearborn, Mi. He's been a model builder for years. I mentioned to him The Deora was my favorite custom ever....he was honored. I had built a Deora as a LRW wheelstander and took it to a meeting. He loved it, so I gave it to him. Next meeting he gave me some stuff, including a home made dolly he used in his customizing days and figures he would have used it while building The Deora. He also gave me an original Alexander Bros. Business Card and other literature. I've made a good friend in Larry. It's nice to know him.
  13. Bill Eh? (and others...) PROBABLY not on the FIRST 5 Window ...... maybe on a later one. Mark Dorcas came down for the day and told me about the stuff. Going to give it a try. Found it at Michael's for about $14.00. Apparently there are YouTube videos available showing techniques.
  14. NOTHING replaces the ORIGINAL Deora. I wish they had NOT used the name on the II.
  15. George, Are you in for the Club build this year? It IS the Black Widow. You may need to go back and get one.
  16. $27.95 in Canada at my LHS for the Revell new kits the last few weeks. Challenger, 32 5 Window.
  17. Indeed it was....Just what the doctor ordered!
  18. Next one is Sept 18th at Bob's house.
