1:16 Pacers Fuel Altered, scratch build
Maurice Henderson replied to Mike Holland's topic in Drag Racing
My friend, all I can say is "WOW!!!"...This one of the most remarkable builds I have seen on this forum..The workmanship is thru the roof..You nailed this build 100%...This takes me back to Lions drag strip for the Fuel Altered wars of the 70s..Outstanding job and superbly well done!!! -
Bainford..I took some clues from some Ford Fairlane Stockers at the US National in 2024..Thank you for the kind words sir..

Hemifever, thank you for the kind words..I didn't know if my spindle trick was going to work, but when I mock it up, walla it fell just right.

Good Morning Forum This build was something that I started in December of 2024..Forgot it was in the box to be completed and was looking for some tires for another build decided to finish it..I went Box Stock with one mod..I lowered the front end stance by turning the spindles upside down to achieve the stance I wanted..I wasn't sure it was going to do the trick, but sometimes our brain farts work out..She painted in Tamiya TS-26 Pure White..Interior is Rust-Oleum Gloss Black..The rims are part box..Decals are mix of the AMT kit and some Ford decals..I like the way it turned out..Comment and enjoy!!!

Moebius AWB Mopar Assembly Line - Mr. Norm's
Maurice Henderson replied to papajohn97's topic in Drag Racing
Mr. Norm's shop was on 3300 Grand Ave in Chicago..I'm 65 years young and can remember as a 10 year old kid going down there with my older brother who was into Hot Rodding to see what was coming out and in of his dealership..He was the man in Chicago when it came to hi-performance parts for Mopars. -
Moebius AWB Mopar Assembly Line - Mr. Norm's
Maurice Henderson replied to papajohn97's topic in Drag Racing
Papajohn, 1st let me say I'm not a big fan of these AWB cars, but YOU KILLED IT ON THIS ONE..It has the best paint, fit & finish that I've seen on this forum for AWB cars..Bro, I love the color & al the detail you put into this build..Job well done my friend..Btw, I'm from Chicago where Mr. Norm's Grand Spaulding Dodge was started. -
Sir, this reminds me of guy who hasn't alot of money, but wants to drag race real bad..So he finds this Grand National is some guys barn for $1500.00 He does what his budget allows and builds one of the best sleepers in the tri-state area..He gets a reputation for beating guys with more expensive cars..I like the build and looks cool as hell..This is the essence of Drag Racing..Job well done my friend!!!

Very nice build..I was Googling some Juckbox Ford kits on the web for some ideas for my build..I came across your build because you didn't follow the box art.. I think your fade turned out pretty damn good and it has that sinnester look..Your build has inspired me to be a little more creative with my build..Job well done my friend.

My 55 Chevy & 67 Chevelle Pro street's
Maurice Henderson replied to Maurice Henderson's topic in Drag Racing
To be honest sir, the Chevelle was a after thought..Once I saw how the rear wheels didn't give me the look I wanted on the 55, I pivoted to the Chevelle...So I took the 55 chassis and used it for the Chevelle..The 67 Chevelle is the backhalf king of the model world. I think it turned out pretty good. -
Sir, I really like this build..I have two of these kits and my plan was to go Pro Street route because I have 4 Bob Glidden kits..My only reservation is cutting that hood off because I want the engine to be seen and I want the tear drop look like yours.. Your grafting of the hood scoop to the hood looks flawless..Paint is outstanding..Job well done my friend.

Thank you Zippi..Terry from STS did a great job of making those decals..He's my go to guy for specialty decals.

Charger, you did an excellent job on this build..The paint is outstanding and the stance is right on point..You definitely hit it out the park and I can tell you are very proud of this build in which you should be..Job well done done my friend

Good Morning Forum I built this kit during the Pandemic..I didn't have decals for it until 2024 when I sent some pics to STS Decals to make me a set..It's a box stock build..I don't have Instagram or Facebook to real#ly get detailed pics of Kye's car, so I went what I could get from a Google search..I started with the Mean & Nasty Camaro, part box rims and got the hood scoop of Ebay..I know the hood scoop should be a little lower, but I'm good with the finished product..Comment and enjoy Maurice Henderson Bear Down!!!
