  1. Job well done Scott..I've seen this car many of times at Indy and Travis would honored about your representation of his car..That guy and his Dad Bucky are meticulous about their cars..Terry did an excellent job of doing the decals..He's my go to guy for decals..Again, job well done my friend.
  2. Nice build my..Welcome back to the modeling world..Sometimes it takes getting away from this to get your juices going again..The pandemic did it for me..I have this kit and didn't really think about it until I saw your build..You gave me some incentive to do something with mine..Again really nice job on your build.
  3. Very nicely done..I remember the 1st time I saw this car at Cordova Dragway in Moline Illinois..My brother who was in the Army as a Green Beret took me..I was 12 years old and could believe this car went down the track on two wheels..Bro, you hit out the part with this one.
  4. Thank you Steve..I really tried to get the stance right on this build..I didn't want the front end up in the air and I wanted it to look realistic..Your comments really hit home saying I got it right.
  5. Thanks Mikey...coming from you means the world to me..I consider you the archive of model history on this forum
  6. Thank you Dan..I really wanted to get the stance somewhat right on this one.
  7. They are custom made by Terry from STS Decals..The cost was $25.00..He has done quite a few including the Mike Cooten Super Stock Cuda..Those cost $30.00
  8. Good Afternoon Forum I just finished this build 2 days ago..Lately, I on a building Mopars thing..I have 4 more in different stages of completion..She's painted in Tamiya TS-50 Mica Blue and TS-26 Pure White..I used the slicks from the Revell Pro Stock Cutlass..Shaved the inside wheels so they would fit..Put 1/8 block under the rear leaf spring to get the height I wanted..Scratch build a drive shaft, header collectors from brass..STS did the decals..Wired the engine and coil..There are some things I wish I did better, but I'm happy with it..Thankyou, comment and enjoy. Maurice
  9. Bro, that car looks like it's ready for some PDRA racing..The detail, stance and color are on point..Outstanding job on this build my friend.
  10. Outstanding build my friend..MVC Products makes 440 headers for your next project if it a 440 car..You really hit it out the park on this Sox & Martin build.
  11. Thanks Zippi..I love your Charles Carpenter 55 Chevy build..That build is badass .I got a 55 on the bench.. I'm doing Bob Mandell Orange 55 Top Sportsman car..STS made me the decals..I just gotta find the right wheels for it.
  12. Thank you..I know the feeling and can't wait to see your build sir.
  13. Good Evening Forum Butch Leal/Mark Pappus Pontiac Pro Stocker This was one of my favorite Pro Stock cars back in the day because of the color..I built this during the pandemic along with his white car..I took cues from Mark Pappas car that he runs in the Nostalgia Pro Stock circuit right now..Basic box stock build with only mod using a hood scoop from a old Camaro model. Chevelle Pro Mod I think I built this in the late 90's after I got back from Desert Shield/Storm..I had this Resin body and was a fan of Pro Mod driver Harold Martin who was a teammate of Warren Johnson..So tried something out of my wheel house for a change..Used the basic Pro Stock chassis and came up with this..Even though I didn't do alot of detail work on this, it's still one of my favorites..I remember I did alot of sanding because this was my 1st resin body.
  14. No, but I'll try anything right now
  15. Beans, you are so correct..This TS-26 Pure White has been Pure Hell. I also bought some brand new Tamiya tape.
  16. Beans, thank you for comments and advice...This is the 1st TIME this has ever to any of my builds..I've used lacquer, acrylics, enamels and some paints that don't exist anymore..I bought some new Tamiya tape today, so I see how it goes..I gone give the Sox & Martin build some to think what it wants to do.
  17. Thank you gentleman for your wisdom..I've done all of the thing you guys suggest..Wet sanding, changing the tape including Tamiya tape and it happened a 3rd time..I will try these methods again and hope I'm successful because painting those Sox and Martin aren't the problem it's white paint on the Quarterpanels before applying the red paint.
  18. Good Morning Forum I'm currently building a Sox & Martin GTX..I've painted this model 3 times and when I tape it, it pulls the paint off down to the primer in big patches..I use the white Tamiya Fine Surface primer and TS-26 Pure White paint..I've washed the model, applied primer in 4 coats, 4 coats of TS-26 for the 3rd time it stil is coming off in patches on the passenger side..After each primer & paint I let the model dry for 4- 5 days...When applying primer I wait 20 minutes before applying the next coat..I do the same procedure for TS-26...If anybody has had this problem and solve it, let me know what I'm doing wrong..I don't want do a 4th or 5th attempt on getting it right.
  19. My friend you did you dad proud..Outstanding job on your build..Long after your dad stops racing, he will have the memory of your build for him to look at..Job well done my friend!!!
  20. Really like this build..It plain, but has a lot of detail..The engine compartment is really nicely detail..The whole build was brought together to be one cohesive unit..Job well done my friend!!!
  21. Really outstanding build..The grafting of the front bump seem flawless..The stance and paint are on point..Job well done my friend!!!
  22. Nice builds Micky..Bro, you are the hardest working man in modeling..Question? On the Sox & Martin GTX, did you paint the stripes because if you did they came out nice.
  23. Bro, that is the essence of model car building..Just let your creative juices flow bring your thought into reality..Job well done my friend!!!
  24. Bro, I know you made your mom proud on this build..I like the engine detail and color..Definitely the highlight of your modeling career.
