  1. Pretty much stalled on this one until STS gets me the decals,,,,been a month ,,,I'll take some pics of the chassis and post em later
  2. I was gonna say I've used solder in situations like that,,,just depends on how critical the diameter needs to be ,,I do a lot of solder headers
  3. I used Tamiya Pearl White on my D-O-L Dart
  4. I've had the same issue (sometimes) with Tamiya white , got the best results with Tamiya light gray primer and then light coat-flash-light coat --then dehydrator for 4-6 hours ,then hit it again . On other stuff that I need white I use Vallejo white primer then hit that with either Tamiya flat, semi gloss or gloss clear ,I usually use this method for white interiors,,,headers and stuff
  5. ..................where have I seen that rear link mount setup before.....hmmmm ,,lol! looks good bro!
  6. I got my preorders from Model Roundup on 8/29 ,,the AWB and the A990 !
  7. I was considering scratchbuilding,,,just threw it out there if anyone had a resin or 3D print
  8. Hey you 3D guys out there,,,, how 'bout doing a body that would work on a Moebius 65 Ford kit ???
  9. no mo ,,,its a 3 day show,,if the weather holds out I would think more will come tomorrow
  10. Theres another big rod show right up I-287 from here in Parsippany at the same time ,,,Lead East !
  11. ................stage 1 of paint ,,,after this bakes ,,have to tape it off at the body side feature lines and run the green as a more defined "panel" to the front ,,,the paint was a guess,,,close enough!
  12. Thanks,,I hope STS does a good job on the decals,,,he hasn't sent me a proof yet
  13. They were very good,,no issues

  15. That would be cool Walt!,,,that was a great day!
  16. I got them from Southern Motorsport Hobbies
  17. .........I know ,I know I said I was going to do the Lyles 'cuda,,,it's in the pipeline,,,but I've got an AWB itch I gotta scratch! I saw this car when it was 1st shown at Englishtown good 10+ years ago,,Walter Frey was announcing that day ,,,so it's on the bench,,,I got STS working on the decals should have them soon..I'm using the Moebius 65 AWB Plymouth,I've started on the chassis,,,,removing the torsion bars and control arms and fitted a straight axle so far.Only difference I'm using a tube axle where the actual car had a beam
  18. Won't you miss the Indiana winters ??? !!! lol looks like you got a good size room to set up shop!
  19. It's in the pipeline ,,,I got another AWB build on the bench,,,waiting on STS decals,,,these I can't make ,,I'll start a post tomorrow
  20. I was going to correct the wheelbase a bit,,,it's wonky,,,,but decided just to build it as is ,,,I wouldn't buy another one
  21. Poff's is a wrap,,,all I can say about the kit is the body molding is great,,no flash ,,chassis pretty much a step or 2 below basic ,,lol same with the engine.I threw some bits of wire at it for brake and fuel lines,,cobbled up a steering box ,,didn't use the fenderwell headers,,they just didn't look right so I made some out of solder . Used a set of chrome stock steel rims on the slicks and the decals I made. Don't know if I'm gonna do Lyles 'cuda next or what,,,I got STS working up a set of decals for an AWB Mopar with a straight axle so if they come in soon I might do that ,,,decisions,,,,,decisions ?
  22. Holding off on the Chadwick car ,,,went another direction when I found a picture of this 65 I had >
  23. I'm getting better and better making them,,,,and I'm technologically challenged! lol! ?
