  1. Thanks for the review, Doug. I was wondering about it, and considering it, so now I will put it on my want list. Thanks!
  2. Nice build! I like your screen name, too!! I drive a '00 Taurus wagon, and many years ago drove a '77 LTD II wagon, blue with woodgrain, and tartan clothe/vinyl seats!!
  3. Wow, very cool builds! I wish I'd have had that kind of support when I first built kits. I'm still learning new stuff even in my 40s! I've planned out a fade paint job, but have yet to tackle it (Miss Deal). With friends, and a Dad like that, Alex, you're pretty lucky!! You're also a talented builder! I'm looking forward to seeing some more of your builds!!

    Rainx Camaro

I built the HotWheels version, and talk about painful decals! Mine was a box stock build, too. Nice kit, and I can see the revisions from the Mustang kits. I've got one of those to build one of these days, too. Very nice build!
  5. Very hard to choose, but my first reaction as I looked at each model won my vote - The red & white Starliner. Very cohesive build, looks like a real car, and would be right at home cruising the streets in about 1970. Other notables that I liked, are the rust bucket, the Impala drag car, and T-Bird Pro stock. Nice work by everyone!
  6. Nice build so far! Just one observation, being the interior colour on the dash, and around the interior door panels - Would be body colour on a 1:1 car.
  7. Looks like a stellar build underway. Nice subject, and like others will be following along!
  8. Quite a unique subject for F1. I haven't built any F1s, mostly due to them mostly being 1/20. I have an un-built Revell F1 car from Jacques Villeneuve that I do want to build...someday!
  9. Very nice "what-if". Kind of reminds me of a small version of Gator McKluskey's car in "White Lightning!". I know that was a 4-door LTD, but was brown, and had black steelies!
  10. Excellent!!
  11. Exceptional build! I saw some of your earlier WIP posts, and some of the difficulties you overcame to finish! Just flat out awesome, even if it has a non-Ford sourced engine! Now I have the song "Hot Rod Lincoln" stuck in my head!!
  12. Very nice! Just something about those classics!
  13. Wow, nicely done! My son and I built that kit several years ago!
  14. Fantastic artistry!! Very unique. Wow!
  15. That is a cool looking subject. Can't wait to see this one done! The astronauts in the background look like they are keeping tabs on things!!
  16. Another awesome concept! Very cool!
  17. Awesome!!! Great to see an update, and that you didn't let it fight you! The car looks fabulous!
  18. Couldn't have been that cold. Top's down on the black Chebby...Hey, have they paved closer to the shop? Seems like the county moved the road closer. I love your set up, Jerry. You gave me a lot of inspiration for my shop. I haven't played with PS at all...
  19. I can almost hear the exhaust!! Nice!!
  20. Depending on the paint does depend on the cleaner used. Tamiya bottle paint I use water. Testors enamels I use varsol or turpentine. Wipe excess off on a rag, swish it in the water (for Tamiya), wipe on rag, do the same a couple more times, (don't put it in the water and leave it) don't let the bristles get to the bottom of the water pot (I use an old jar, and put the lid on - open to clean brush, so I don't touch the bottom of the jar so I don't get sediment in the bristles). Keep dipping and wiping until the brush is clean, no colour on the rag. Lay the brush flat, to keep the bristles straight. I do replace the tip guard (clear tube that came with the Vallejo "000" brush for example). If using varsol, once clean, I do rinse with water. I have several different sizes, and do use some of the Testors brushes for brushing some things, like engine blocks, etc.
  21. Bullitt is one of my all-time favourite movies! McQueen is awesome!
