  1. Fantastic! Glad you overcame the hurdles and got it finished. Absolutely stunning! As for the dual caps...It's a concept car. It takes two different fuels into two different tanks, perhaps, for future technology! Yeah, that's it, that's the ticket! Whatever...the car is fabulous!
  2. The fangs are lookin mighty sharp there CB! Eyeballs - keep an eye out at the crafty store. Should be some kinda styreefoam, plasticky or woody type roundy or ovally thingys yer can use up fer him socket-fillers. Can't wait to see whatcher comes up wit!
  3. Thanks - The steelies were the chrome ones that came in the kit. I "cheated" on the 'Cuda. That's the polished kit plastic.
  4. Very nicely done! I like the colour combo. I understand how life gets in the way of building. Keep at it even if you only have a few minutes here and there.
  5. Really nice! Love the old Gassers!
  6. Here are some that I have pictures of: '58 Vette '71 Cuda WIP 2011 Trans Am MPC '69 Camaro beater
  7. Nice build! I really liked the kit. I built mine in gold, with red side scoops, and a daily driver theme, with some weathering, red steel wheels. The luggage on the decal sheet was a neat touch, too!
  8. I'll get some shots next time I take the camera downstairs to the bench. Refund? No. I had asked my LHS to order me one, and he pointed out the error, and offered to let me out of the commitment to buy it. Obviously, I bought it anyways.
  9. Damnastic Duo! Man, I wished I'd thought o'that!! Gunthyand sqwirls are looking...UGLY! Er, I mean really cool, CB! (Awesome vision, and fixin em up together). Fabulus idear to keep the weight down on the front wheels!! Lighten up the brainless driver!!
  10. Cool idea! Like many have said about theirs, mine is a mess! I do have a good size desk as a bench, but it is very cluttered, and I can find most of what I use!
  11. Top down motoring it is! The ``down-top`` is fitted!
  12. Very nice build. I like the colour, and the decals.
  13. Awesome! I just flat out love the paint job on this car! Well done!
  14. Nice vans! I had a Dodge Tradesvan that had a utility interior, that was like a mini workshop on the sides. The model co's need to look at building some updated, and retro van kits!!
  15. Thanks for all this great info, Bill! This is a definite keeper as a reference. BMF is a great product, and looks fantastic if it all gets put down snug. One thing I have used to help get the BMF to snug into tight spots is the eraser on a pencil. Just a normal, wooden, lead pencil eraser. It is soft enough to not harm the BMF, and firm enough to snug the BMF over small ridges, and into shallow grooves. I have also used a cotton swab to help burnish the BMF down over trim, and it also gives it a bit of a polish at the same time. One thing to keep in mind is that BMF has a shelf life. If it isn't sticking well, perhaps the adhesive is too old. Keep BMF sheets out of sunlight, and store in a drawer, and in a large ziplock baggie to help extend it's life. Hope this helps some!
  16. Nice! I really like it.
  17. Cool! I bought one of those, and just haven't built it yet! Nicely done! Love the turbo set up! I agree - This must be Skwirly's distance cousin on his mother's side, twice removed!

Fabulous weathering job! Great stance, too.
  19. Very nice build!
  20. I thought of that, Lee, just didn't take the time while I was set up to take pictures! I've got some sturdy guitar string that would work.
  21. Thanks, guys, for the feedback, and replies! I'm leaning towards the boot for top down cruising. (The boot fits better, too) The decklid doesn't stay up on it's own, so I didn't get an engine shot with the car finished. Here's a couple with the engine done near the finish. The dio is doing what it is supposed to, CB. Giving me a background to take pics against more than anything, plus I'm doing little bits here and there. I like it, too!
  22. A few more pictures: Added rear bumper bracket mounted reflectors, taillight side mounted reflectors, and aftermarket Ontario licence plates. Comments, criticisms, etc, always welcome!
  23. This one is done. See it in "Under Glass" here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=24593
  24. Undecided if I'll attach the uptop or the boot. Other than that, it's done. Here's the build thread: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=23762
