  1. Bought with a Chevelle wagon, and trailer. This was disassembled, parts box steering wheel, guages, wheels and tires added for a better period look, and everything has been repainted except for the exterior of the body. Some final details left, but coming along nicely. Started with this: Here's where I'm at today:
  2. Awesome build! I love that you did the "just-pulled-it-out-of-a-car" look, instead of the "It's-too-clean-to-use-it-in-a-car!" look. Well done!
  3. Great looking build! Love it! The whole build (exterior, interior, and engine) look awesome! BMF - In my limited experience with it, I have found that sometimes a batch has had bad glue. The sheets tend to have a shelf life. The other thing I have used to help apply BMF is the eraser on the end of a regular pencil. I use this to help push down on the foil, and then a Q-tip to kind of buff it out. Sorry to hear about your job loss. I went through a similar experience 6 years ago, and was out of work for 10 months. I spent full time hours looking for work (120 applications), and finished up some model projects in between. Good luck. I hope you find something very soon.

Cover the engine block with a coat of Testor's flat white spray. Grey or red primer would work, too. Flat white would give you an even base for the orange.
  5. Dave - Great tutorial on roads! Wow!
  6. That is cool.
  7. All I can say is...Wow!!! Magnificent build!
  8. Thanks, Ed. I'll have to remember that. Good tip.
  9. Here are some update photos: Roof access ladder, and natural gas meter/line on the side Removable rear wall, and removable beams-also some additional wall posters, and paper furniture. Popsicle stick fence, on both sides. Stained with leftover maple stain. I like how it came out, actually. Bit too new looking, though... Enjoy
  10. Revell of Germany online catalogue lists the Cityliner as 1/24th scale. 510mm long would make it about 20 inches long. http://www.revell.de/en/products/model_kit...=07650&sp=1 I work for the local public transit, so a current, or past, city bus in 1/24th would be a draw for me. The 60s-70s Fishbowls were a great bus to drive, and were only retired last year by our service. Any current 40 foot bus would be a fun build, as would a 60 foot articulated bus, which we also operate. (The ones we have are from New Flyer). That would sure take up a shelf!
  11. Very nicely done. Love it!
  12. Added the AMT '69 Barracuda rear spoiler, and a few Nash Bridges kit underhood decals, and craft wire for hoodpin wires. Body is kit plastic, and was polished with a 3-grit sanding stick. Enjoy.
  13. Nice work! Just missing the soundtrack!
  14. We find our inspiration where we find it, and you did. Awesome job. Love it. You made it your own, too!
  15. I haven't posted an update in a while, but I've been doing little things to the dio...Added an access ladder to the roof, natural gas line, back wall extensions outside to either side of the building, and popsicle stick fences up along both sides. Also a few sticks of paper furniture. I'll have to grab a couple of pictures...Looks alright to me!
  16. Great job on the Beetle. That's a kit I need for my unbuilt stash for sure!
  17. Nice looking rebuild, so far! Good work.
  18. Good work, Bill...Nice to bring an old one back. I've heard that Alclad works good for chrome. I found it to be pricey, but the results may be worth it! Apparently, you airbrush it over gloss black to get chrome. It's real shiny too!
  19. Thanks, moon...Wheels and tires have not been finalized. These are out of the Concorde slammer. A bit narrow, but need to be brought out in the rear if I do use them. I may try to modify the Camaro wheels to give them a Pontiac feel/look. One more thing to figure out!
  20. Looks awesome! Great work. Maybe next time, try a two door conversion, too!
  21. I appreciate the comments...thank you! Managed to get another coat of putty and primer...still more work needed...dry fit right now... Comments welcome!
  22. White with blue centre stripe, similar to '70.5 T/A.
  23. It's been a while, but I finally had a bit of time to work on this...got some putty done a couple of weeks ago, sanded and a first go at primer-needs more putty, and more sanding...here's how it looks after the primer.
  24. Very nice!
  25. Nice work! See, we need the women in our lives to help us get it done! Looks great, and will look forward to the updates!
