    First try

Wow! Nice work on the Jeep! Looks fabulous!
  2. Great pic, there Jerry! Good to see someone found the keys for the water truck!
  3. Looks great! Nice work!
  4. I like it! What scale is it? 1/87, HO maybe. Love the VWs, and the transit bus in particular! The build does look great. Well done!
  5. Well, I'm really glad to see there are others with the same/or similar idea!! Nice club display!!
  6. Thanks for the kind words...Nice to see others think and feel the same way as I do! There needs to be a new Trans Am to go with the new Mustang, Challenger, and Camaro!! Can't wait to see how your builds, and mine, end up!!
  7. Wow, that is some fine work! Well done!
  8. Build is for a mini competition between some like minded individuals and myslef to build the Concept Camaro anyway you want...I chose to build what I could see as an alternative from GM...Follow the Camaro with a Pontiac Firebird. I was torn between the '69 or '70 details, and chose the 70...This is the result of a few hours with a Dremel and some Tenak! I hope you like it so far!
  9. Nice build! That is a kit on my want list. The Merc wheels might work...seems that I have seen a few Westies with Merc wheels. Love the grille! Very "early GTI"!!
  10. Very well done, Bill...I could almost feel the splinters!!!
  11. Looks good, Rick. Looks like you found the printable minis website! Lots of cool stuff there!
  12. Bill-Love it! The motorcycle bits are a nice addition, as is the rusty body on the other side! Nice weathering, too...the pumps look great!! Nice job!
  13. Nice work, Bill! Coming along beautifully! You should be proud!
  14. Have been working at a back wall...I'm liking it...also made a cardboard removeable roof...ripe for details, like vents, and HVAC...I couldn't help myself...
  15. Nice kit, and nice car...I'm one for the mainliners...we had a 77 LTDII Squire...full woodgrain sides, too...not the same car, obviously, but was based on the esrlier Torino wagons...might have to consider buying this transkit!
  16. The only thing that is really finished, Bill, is the front facade...Last night I extended the side walls, and started to work on a removeable back wall...and I want to make a removeable flat roof...I also want to fence at least one side, maybe both...not sure what size of fence...maybe a post sign...then there is some interior stuff, like work benches, tool boxes...and other garage stuff. So, while it is a useable photographic backdrop, I'll have lots to do before I say "It's finished"!! Will help to keep the car projects going, as it will give me a diversion if I get stuck, so I can do something on the shop, then get back to the car. At least that is the plan!!
  17. A few more... Original releases, as built at the time...
  18. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v383/lun...Shop/?start=all Photobucket album with all my Speed Shop photos...including these I took today...outside in the sunshine!!
  19. Looks good, Rob...Some of the best results end up due to accidents! The sign looks great!
  20. Thanks, Bill...It has been fun, and a nice "change of pace" build. Thing is, these can sure take up room...lol! Now, I just have to have the weather cooperate long enough to get it outside for some photography!
  21. Okay, so that is pretty cool! Can't wait to see what you do with it!
  22. Have done a bit of work on the shop over the past while... Narrowed the width of the safety path lines, and defined the foot prints, and finished the tire rack... Added a bit of a land mark for the roof... The Shop is busy today... And after a long day... We're closed...
  23. I've also used Pine-Sol in the past. Depending on the paint it can take a while. I liked it because I was ablr to buy a large quantity, had it in a fair sized container so that I could submerge a model car body, and cover and seal it. It lasted a good long time, and when it got to the point that I wanted to get rid of it, I did put it out with the household special waste. Remember that even if something is biodegradeable (like some of the suggestions here), as soon as you add paint to it, it is hazardous waste. Safety first! Ventilation for most of our hobby is a given. A respirator is something to consider. Your health is important!!
  24. I guess the crowds didn't hang around for the photo-op...Nice pair of ragtops...The picture looks great, Jerry!!
