  1. Markup the sides of your tires with their yellow chalk the meter maids would do to see how long you've been parked in the same spot.
  2. I like this one even without the gold tooth. But I would recess it a bit more if that's possible. Don't like the toes sticking out as far as they do.
  3. Carl, you never specified a year. Are you talking 1969? The Nascar version sounds like the 1970.
  4. Some people also called it a Fairlane Cobra although that too is incorrect. But I have see some Cobras with the Fairlane script on the trunk lid. And if you think 1969 was confusing wait until 1970. Then it was part of the Torino line, not separate and the same body was also still on the Fairlane line and mid year it was also the Falcon. For the first half of the year the Falcon used the same body as it had since 1966. Ford didn't want to have the Falcon compete against the new Maverick
  5. Ineffective is usually the result when trying to explain to someone the problem with their computer network.
  6. Did you ever get an answer to your T-Bird post. I never built that kit but I have a couple of built projects if you still want some pictures.
  7. Build them however you want but if your building a race car you have to name it phamoninal, but I won't leave you with that.
  8. Been having issues this afternoon trying to respond to a thread (https://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/197304-torino-cobra-amt/#comment-2963571). Initially keep getting an "Opps, page not Found" after hitting submit. Happened three or four times. Then I closed out the browser, cleared my cache and opened the browser again, same issue. I was able to respond to other threads but not this one. I had copied my response to a text file and responded one more time with a truncated version of my text and it posted. Went back to edit the post with the rest of my text and I get the following pop-up Even if I add just one word to my posted text I get this popup. Almost acts as if it's put a limit on the number of characters I can enter, but i have posted longer responses in the past so that doesn't make sense.
  9. I've often wondered about this myself. AMT issued the 68 Torino in fastback and convertible versions. They were both modified for 1969 with the fastback a Torino and the convertible a Cobra (the Cobra is not a Torino in 69). Then the fastback was turned into a modified stocker and the convertible disappeared. Then around 1990 they restored the Modified stocker and made it into the 69 Cobra fastback. But we still have the modified stocker. So there must be more then one tool of the fastback.
  10. Beep, Beep, zoooom.....
  11. Now it takes me months to build a model car, when I was younger I would have one done over a weekend.
  12. Nathan, I guess for the most part we should consider ourselves lucky as most of the Galaxie kits made in the 60’s are still available. Aside from 62, 67 & 68 you can get the rest. Of course two of those three are ones you are looking for…. I’d like to know what happened to all the Mercury kits from the era. Not to many of those are still available.
  13. Builders of the new sports arena need to go back to school, they started with the parking lot, then the football field, unfortunately they measured wrong and the playing field is only 99 yards long.
  14. David, great job, it came out really nice
  15. Yeah, Ol' Henry did an aerodynamics study on these before he left this earth using a wind tunnel borrower from the Wright Brothers ✈. He keeps it at Greenfield Village.
  16. I'm on board with the bumpers, especially the back. It cleans up the expanse of sheet metal below the trunk👍
  17. Probably just the Discovery Channel, they have a new pseudo reality program coming out on UFO's and they are trying to stir the pot in advance.
  18. My first thought is why is the District Attorney seeking retribution. Or are they just relaying the information that someone else has a lawsuit pending seeking retribution. Which I would think would have to be coming from the person who owns the third car, as we know it's not you. Or is this an open case and the DA has to send out these letters and await a response before they can close it. My wife was hit a few years back and our insurance company pushed to sue the other party. She was injured in this situation. The lawsuit went on for several years and other then a lot of aggravation wasn't worth the time spent. We got a stipend of which the lawyers took a big chunk and she has pain she has to live with the rest of her life. As with most lawsuits the only one who wins is the lawyers.
  19. singing mystic songs
  20. Mistakes I made in the past hopefully make me a better person today providing I don't repeat them.
  21. Thanks Rich, I'm looking forward to the end of the tunnel so I can clean up some of the mess on my work bench😁
